日汉翻译视角下的翻译规范与翻译方略

【摘要】：从1970年下半年到1980年,翻译规范作为描述性翻译研究的代表性概念出现在翻译理论界。给翻译界带来新的革命,给翻译研究带来了新的视角,至今在翻译研究领域依然被广泛的运用。即便是同一作品的译本,译者不同,翻译的作品也具有不同的特点。在这里就不得不考虑时代的特色、译者所处的文化背景、受容环境等的作用。也就是说,在不同社会阶段根据其社会的文化性、社会性、历史性状况存在着相应的翻译规范。本论文以三个社会文化背景完全不同的译本为研究对象,分别是:台湾的李永炽1971年版、中国大陆的叶渭渠1996年版和林少华的2011年版的汉译本。从词语、文法、比喻句、文化、注释这五个方面考察分析《雪国》汉译本中翻译规范的作用以及翻译方略。本论文由六章构成。第一章阐述了研究背景、目的、意义、对象和方法、在先行研究的基础上,指出其研究空白点,表明本论文的立场。第二章是本论文的理论框架。同时对《雪国》的三位译者及中国的受容环境进行介绍。第三章从词语、文法、比喻文、文化、注释五个方面就《雪国》汉译本中的操作规范进行分析。第四章在总结归纳第三章实证研究的基础上,探讨在《雪国》的汉译中预备规范和初期规范的作用。第五章主要从同化和异化、意译和直译的角度,对《雪国》汉译的翻译方略进行探讨。第六章是本论文的结论和今后的课题。本论文主要参照图里翻译规范理论,根据预备规范、初期规范、操作规范的原则,对川端康成《雪国》的李永炽、叶渭渠、林少华的三个译本进行比较分析,从中可以看出因为三位译者处于不同的社会文化背景中,所以作用于这三个译本的翻译规范也是不同的,并得出如下结论。预备规范是关于目标文化中对翻译的定位以及选择应该要翻译的文本的规范,初期规范是进行翻译时与选择遵循起点语言文化还是遵循目标语言文化有关的规范。也就是说预备规范是决定翻译作品选择的重要因素,初期规范是进行翻译行为选择的基础。操作规范是翻译过程中实际策略的选择,与翻译过程中的意思决定相关,是决定翻译行为的微观选择。在翻译过程中,不同阶段有不同的翻译规范在发挥着作用,由此也就产生了不同的翻译方略。翻译方略受翻译规范(初期规范、预备规范、操作规范)的影响,决定该原文在目标语言中的翻译目的,更受到翻译规范的制约。《雪国》的汉译本为了达成该目标,三位译者在翻译的不同阶段遵循了各自时期的翻译规范并提炼出相应的翻译方略,运用异化和同化相融合,意译和直译相结合的翻译方略,使《雪国》的翻译成为了“适合”并使中国读者完全可以接受的“受容可能”的翻译。
[Abstract]:From the second half of 1970 to 1980, translation norms, as a representative concept of descriptive translation studies, appeared in the field of translation theory. It has brought a new revolution to the translation field and brought a new perspective to translation studies, which is still widely used in the field of translation studies. Even if the translation of the same work is different, the translated works have different characteristics. Here we have to consider the characteristics of the times, the translator's cultural background, tolerance environment and so on. In other words, translation norms exist in different social stages according to their cultural, social and historical conditions. This thesis focuses on three completely different versions of social and cultural backgrounds: Li Yongzhi of Taiwan in 1971, Ye Weiqu of mainland China in 1996 and Lin Shaohua in 2011. From the five aspects of words, grammar, figurative sentences, culture and annotation, this paper analyzes the role of translation norms and translation strategies in the Chinese translation of Xue Guo. This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter describes the research background, purpose, significance, object and method. On the basis of the first research, it points out the blank spot of the research and shows the position of this paper. The second chapter is the theoretical framework of this paper. At the same time, the three translators of Snow State and the tolerance environment of China are introduced. The third chapter analyzes the operational norms in the Chinese translation of Xue Guo from the following five aspects: words, grammar, figurative text, culture and annotation. On the basis of summing up the empirical research in Chapter 3, the fourth chapter discusses the role of preliminary norms and initial norms in the translation of Snow State into Chinese. Chapter five discusses the translation strategies of Xue Guo from the angles of assimilation and alienation, free translation and literal translation. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this paper and the future topic. In this paper, referring to the translation norms theory of Touri, according to the principles of preliminary norms, initial norms and operational norms, three versions of Li Yongchi, Ye Weiqu and Lin Shaohua of Kawabata Kangcheng "Snow country" are compared and analyzed. From this, we can see that the three translators are in different social and cultural backgrounds, so the translation norms acting on the three translations are different, and the following conclusions are drawn. Preliminary norms are about the orientation of translation and the choice of the texts to be translated in the target culture. The initial norms are related to the choice of the target language culture or the target language culture. That is to say, the preliminary norms are the important factors to decide the choice of translation works, and the initial norms are the basis of the choice of translation behavior. Operational specification is the choice of practical strategy in the process of translation, which is related to the decision of meaning in the process of translation, and it is also the micro choice of the decision of translation behavior. In the process of translation, different translation norms play a role in different stages, and thus different translation strategies are produced. The translation strategy is influenced by the translation norms (initial norms, preliminary norms, operational norms), which determines that the translation purpose of the original text in the target language is even more restricted by the translation norms. At different stages of translation, the three translators followed the translation norms of their respective periods and abstracted the corresponding translation strategies, using the translation strategy of integrating alienation and assimilation, combining free translation with literal translation. The translation of Xue Guo has been made suitable and acceptable to Chinese readers.
