[Abstract]:In the process of interpersonal communication, the first-time conversation plays an important role in the formation of interpersonal relationships between the speakers. In oral education, the traditional method of education is to teach students to talk to people who meet for the first time in decent and respectful language, and to avoid talking about age, religion and so on. However, there are no corresponding research papers on what topics should be chosen, and how the topics should be chosen according to the gender and age groups of men and women. By combining questionnaire survey with actual conversation recording, this study examined the topic selection differences in the first meeting conversation. According to the results of the questionnaire, there is no obvious difference between male and female students in China and Japan. Chinese men have a higher choice of topics such as age, hobbies, blood group constellations, religion and so on. When Chinese women talk to the opposite sex for the first time, when they talk about "family" and "sports TV movie entertainers", the "don't want to talk" choice rate is higher than that in the first conversation with the same sex. At the same time, Japanese men in the first meeting of the conversation, "do not want to talk about" the higher choice of topics such as "age", "height and weight." Japanese women do not want to talk about height and weight, regardless of the sex they meet for the first time. Compared with the occupational category, Chinese people have higher choice rate on the topic of "age" than students, and students have higher choice on "sports TV movie entertainers". The results show that Japanese students are more active than the public in the topic of "school of birth or school". From the age level, there is no significant difference between male and female in the overall choice of topic, but there is a significant age difference in the topic choice of "their own or the other party's dress and hairstyle" and "the school where the school was born". In addition, it can be seen from the conversational experiments that Chinese native speakers actively demonstrate their efforts to close up with each other and promote their interpersonal relationships in the first meeting. On the other hand, the native speaker of Japanese keeps a certain distance from the other while trying to keep him out of his domain. Finally, based on the above research, this paper probes into the differences in the choice of topics between Chinese and Japanese people in the first conversation, and the enlightenment of the differences in the choice of topics between men and women in Japanese education.
