《恐るべき公害》日译汉翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译实践的文本选自《令人恐惧的公害》一书,本书记述了日本公害事件发生的原因和影响、市民的态度以及政府的应对措施。本次翻译实践文本选取了前5个章节来进行,分别为:日本的公害地图;市民生活与公害;怎样做到不受公害的侵害;大气污染的影响;水污染和噪音的影响。在翻译过程中发现文本特征如下:一、虽然只选取了前5个章节翻译,但每个章节又分为许多小节。这就决定了在翻译过程中会遇到大量的标题翻译。二、本次翻译文本中的一个突出特点就是专业知识和专有词汇很多,尤其是化学成分方面的专有词汇以及地理物理方面的专业知识。三、文本中的事件叙述或现象说明比较多,要求语言简练、鲜明,逻辑性强。在本次翻译实践报告中,从三个角度阐述了我的翻译过程,即标题的翻译、专有词汇的翻译和句子的翻译,并总结出了每部分的翻译特征。在标题翻译方面,我在充分理解原文的基础上,结合自己的汉语知识储备,采取了直译、意译两种翻译方法。在专有词汇翻译方面,主要分析了“化学成分词汇”和“物理、地理专业词汇”。在句子翻译方面,考虑到原文本的语言特征及风格,我主要采取了“加译”“减译”“合译”和“倒译”相结合的翻译方法,以达到简练、严谨、客观的目的。本次翻译报告共分为四部分。第一部分介绍了翻译项目背景和任务描述。第二部分介绍了任务过程。第三部分是案例分析,在这次翻译实践的基础上,介绍了翻译中遇到的问题和解决方法。第四部分是对这次翻译实践的总结。
[Abstract]:The text of this translation practice is selected from the book "the feared Public hazards", which describes the causes and effects of the public hazard incident in Japan, the attitude of the public and the government's measures to deal with it. The first five chapters are selected in this translation, which are: public hazard map of Japan; citizen's life and pollution; how to be free from pollution; influence of air pollution; influence of water pollution and noise. In the process of translation, the features of the text are as follows: first, although only the first five chapters are selected for translation, each chapter is divided into many sections. This determines that in the process of translation there will be a large number of title translation. Second, one of the outstanding features of the translated text is that there are a lot of specialized knowledge and vocabulary, especially in chemical composition and geophysics. Third, the narrative or phenomenon of events in the text is more concise, vivid and logical. In this translation practice report, this paper expounds my translation process from three angles, namely, the translation of title, the translation of special vocabulary and the translation of sentences, and summarizes the translation characteristics of each part. In terms of title translation, on the basis of full understanding of the original text, I have adopted two translation methods, literal translation and free translation, combined with my Chinese knowledge reserve. In terms of the translation of proprietary words, this paper mainly analyzes the Chemical composition Vocabulary and the Physics and Geography Vocabulary. In the aspect of sentence translation, considering the linguistic characteristics and style of the original text, I mainly adopt the method of combining "plus translation", "subtraction", "co-translation" and "inversion" in order to achieve a concise, rigorous and objective purpose. The translation report is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the background and task description of the translation project. The second part introduces the task process. The third part is a case study. On the basis of this translation practice, the paper introduces the problems encountered in translation and the solutions. The fourth part is a summary of the translation practice.
