《美国有色人口与利比里亚殖民地情况》（节选）翻译报告

　　史料文本是历史的写照,它从多个方面记载了某个或数个历史时期的状况,视角多样、内容丰富、风格严谨。阅读史料文本有助于增进对历史的了解。因此,史料文本的翻译显得尤为重要。基于此,笔者选择美国殖民协会整理发布的史料文本《美国有色人口与利比里亚殖民地情况》的部分内容进行翻译,该文本目前尚未有中文译本。该文本的风格兼有法律文本和记叙文本的特征,严谨性和叙述性贯穿始终。同时还引用了一些二手资料(包括他人口述、信件往来等),因此也具备一定的主观性和感情色彩。笔者尝试在奈达的功能翻译理论指导下探讨与所选文本风格类似的史料文本的语言特征和翻译技巧。对本文本的分析将分别从词汇层面、句子层面和逻辑衔接层面展开讨论。词汇层面,讨论内容包括法律术语、人名、地名、组织机构名称在内的专有名词;特殊文化背景下的词汇、基于语境和中英语言差异而产生特殊含义的词汇、名词化结构。句子层面,被动句和长句是该文本一大显著特征,尤其是一些涉及法律知识的长难句值得探究。逻辑衔接层面,如何巧妙地处理文本中的显性逻辑关系和隐性逻辑关系,从而让译文更加准确、通顺、符合汉语表达习惯和阅读习惯也在本文的研究范围之内。笔者希望能通过这次翻译实践...
