　　本翻译实践报告节选自保尔·沃德(Paul Ward)著写的《可持续性的开创:自然与命运1500-1870年》(The Invention of Sustainability:Nature and Destiny C.1500-1870),该书集中讨论了可持续发展这一重大问题,并提出了一系列关于政治经济、国家和环境的想法,对于可持续发展的研究具有很好的指导意义。本报告选取的第一章主要向读者介绍了在可持续发展理念指导下,食物、耕地、农业、林业以及肥料等方面的发展。本文以胡庚申的三维转换理论为指导,探讨翻译过程中的翻译难点以及解决方法。在翻译的过程中,针对语言维度的转换,译者采取了增译和词性转换的方法;针对文化层面的转换,译者采用了意译法和文内加注法;针对交际维度的转换,译者采用了分译和重构的方法。译者打破原文限制,着重注意信息的准确传递,力求译文通俗易懂。最后,此报告总结了翻译过程中获得的经验以及有待解决的问题。
