我国工科领域新手作者英文学术论文讨论部分元话语研究

在当今社会,学术语篇写作已经被普遍认为是一种学者们为展现自身研究成果而必须参与的社会实践活动之一。而作为“帮助读者组织、解释和评价文章中所提供信息的重要语言线索”(Crismore et al.,1993),元话语在学术语篇中的地位不容忽视。近年来,关于元话语的研究与日俱增。通过比较元话语在不同作者笔下的使用情况,研究者们热衷于研究元话语在跨文化、跨学科、跨性别等方面的不同运用。然而,大多数学者仅聚焦于专家文本中的元话语,对于新手作者笔下的元话语特征以及新手作者在撰写学术语篇时所面临的挑战相关的研究仍寥寥无几。本文旨在通过研究航天、机械、材料等领域的中国工科领域新手作者英文学术语篇中讨论部分的元话语特征,进而探讨对其元话语选择的潜在影响因素。研究建立了一个小型语料库,收集了由哈尔滨工业大学航天专业为主的工科博士生未发表的学术语篇与其所对应的英语母语专家作者已发表的学术语篇。以Hyland(2004)提出的人际元话语模型为分类依据,探究了两组作者笔下学术语篇中讨论部分使用的元话语类型和频率特征。同时,本研究还利用访谈,对新手作者们对元话语的功能以及学术语篇的价值等方面的理解进行了探寻,进...
