论后现代字体设计

【摘要】:人类为了记录自己的思想、活动、成就,需要利用一种媒介起到记录、传承的作用,经过不断地探索研究,文字诞生了。在人类文明的历史长河中,文字最主要的作用是传播信息和记录事情,而在这一过程中,对文字本身的装饰、设计始终没有停止。字体设计历经图画时期,繁杂时期,理性时期,过渡时期,到现在的后现代时期,并且会随着时代的发展,出现新的表现形式和风格,不断向前发展。本文主要研究的是后现代字体设计,并通过社会审美等一系列的变化,分析字体设计的发展趋向。 20世纪60年代是后现代主义思潮产生,涉及到艺术、设计、文学、语言、历史、政治、伦理、哲学等观念形态的诸多领域。作为设计的一个重要分支,字体设计不可避免的受到后现代主义思潮的影响,出现不同于以往的新特征、新形式。总结分析后现代字体设计的特征,大致可以分为表象装饰设计、意象构成设计、形象性设计、娱乐性设计、实验性设计五个方面。设计始终是为实际应用服务的,字体设计也不例外。在后现代思潮的影响下,除了广泛应用于传统的广告招贴、商品包装、书籍装帧、企业标识等媒介外,随着社会需求的转变,新的传媒方式的出现,字体设计的利用范围更加广泛,媒体作品,装置艺术等表现形式都开始尝试利用文字进行新的探索。 设计始终是以时代的变化而变化,字体设计并不是停滞不前的。随着信息时代的到来,信息的泛滥,快节奏的生活,使人们跳出后现代对装饰、繁复的渴望,跳出了读图时代的新鲜感。面对大量的信息,人们更加渴望能够迅速直白的获得,这就使后现代字体设计跳出后现代强调装饰表现的漩涡,转向一种简单直白的表述方式。另外,高强度的生活节奏,高压力的生活状态,人们希望能够放纵自己压抑的情绪,在这种心理状态下,,新、奇、巧的事物成为他们追逐的目标。这种心理状态表现在后现代字体设计上就是以一种游戏化的手法颠覆传统意义上的字体设计,实现字体设计的多元化发展。 设计始终是为生活服务的,生活状态的改变,经济的发展,在一定程度上改变着设计发展的方向,对于后现代字体设计而言,现有特征只是随时代变化而做出的反映,并非一成不变,是随着时代的发展继续不断向前发展的。
[Abstract]:In order to record their thoughts, activities and achievements, human beings need to use a medium to play the role of record, inheritance, through continuous exploration and research, the text was born. In the long history of human civilization, the most important role of text is to spread information and record things, but in this process, the design of the text itself has never stopped. Font design goes through drawing period, complicated period, rational period, transition period, to the present post-modern period, and with the development of the times, new forms of expression and style will appear and continue to develop. This paper mainly studies the postmodern font design, and through a series of social aesthetic changes, analyzes the development trend of font design. The 1960s was the emergence of postmodernism, involving many fields of art, design, literature, language, history, politics, ethics, philosophy and so on. As an important branch of design, font design is inevitably influenced by the trend of postmodernism. The characteristics of postmodern font design can be divided into five aspects: image decoration design, image composition design, image design, entertainment design and experimental design. Design is always for practical applications, font design is no exception. Under the influence of postmodern trend of thought, in addition to being widely used in traditional media such as advertisement poster, commodity packaging, book binding, enterprise logo and so on, with the change of social demand, the emergence of new media methods. Font design is more widely used, media works, installation art and other forms of expression are beginning to try to use text for new exploration. Design is always changing with the times, font design is not stagnant. With the arrival of the information age, the flood of information, the rapid pace of life, people jump out of the post-modern decoration, complex desire, out of the new sense of the era of reading pictures. In the face of a large amount of information, people are more eager to be able to obtain it quickly, which makes post-modern font design jump out of the whirlpool of post-modern emphasis on decorative performance, and turn to a simple and straightforward expression. In addition, high intensity of life rhythm, high pressure of life, people want to be able to indulge their depressed emotions, in this state of mind, new, strange, skillful things become their pursuit goal. This state of mind is reflected in the postmodern font design, which is to subvert the traditional font design with a gameplay technique and to realize the pluralistic development of font design. The design always serves for the life, the change of the living condition, the development of the economy, changes the direction of the design development to a certain extent, for the post-modern font design, the present characteristic is only the reflection of the change with the times. It is not inflexible, it is along with the development of the times to continue to move forward.
