探究女性主义思潮影响下美国女式牛仔裤风格的演变

【摘要】:服饰与女性总是紧密地联系在一起。从美国女性服饰的飞速发展中可以看到女性的思想意识的发展。牛仔裤一直被认为是美国文化的象征之一。女式牛仔裤从最初流行到如今女性衣橱中的必备品,经历了很多设计上的改变。本文以女式牛仔裤为例,探讨在女性主义思潮的影响下,,美国女性对服饰上的不平等的抗争—从妥协于其男性特质到将其转变为高度展现女性特质的服装。 正文第一章追溯女式牛仔裤最初流行是作为二战中女性工人的工作服,分析在二战时动员女性工作的宣传中女性穿着牛仔裤的形象,及女性对牛仔裤这一传统男性服饰的被动接受。第二章讨论在轰轰烈烈的六十年代女性解放运动的影响下,女式牛仔裤从无性别服饰设计转变到突出女性特质的特别设计,并指出这些设计的变化体现了女性对平等的追求从“趋同”上升到“求异”。第三章分析在新时代女生权力这一思潮的影响下,女性特质中的性感与女性赋权被联系起来;而时尚的品牌女式牛仔裤也发展出高度展示女性特质的设计理念,并通过广告这一现代媒介,向女性消费者灌输这个思想,牛仔裤成为高度女性化的服饰。 从最初的矿工工作服到西部牛仔服,从嬉皮士打扮到伸展台上的时尚,牛仔裤有着丰富的文化内涵,但是女式牛仔裤却鲜少被作为研究对象。本文试图从这一较新的角度,讨论美国女性各个时期对平等的不同认识在服饰上的体现。
[Abstract]:Dress is always closely related to women. From the rapid development of American women's dress, we can see the development of women's ideology. Jeans have always been regarded as one of the symbols of American culture. Women's jeans have undergone a number of design changes since they were first popular and now essential in women's closets. Taking women's jeans as an example, this paper discusses the American women's struggle against the inequity in dress under the influence of feminism. The first chapter traces the original popularity of women's jeans as a female worker's work clothes during World War II, and analyzes the image of women wearing jeans in the propaganda of mobilizing women's work during World War II. And women's passive acceptance of jeans as a traditional male dress. The second chapter discusses the transformation of women's jeans from sexless dress design to a special design that highlights women's characteristics, under the influence of the vigorous women's liberation movement in the 1960s. It is pointed out that the changes of these designs reflect women's pursuit of equality from convergence to difference. The third chapter analyzes that under the influence of the trend of women's power in the new era, the sexiness in women's traits is linked to women's empowerment, and the fashionable women's jeans also develop a design concept that highly demonstrates the female characteristics. And through advertising as a modern medium, women consumers inculcated this idea, jeans become highly feminine clothing. From initial miners' work clothes to western jeans, from hippies to outstretched fashion, jeans have rich cultural connotations, but women's jeans are rarely studied. From this relatively new angle, this paper attempts to discuss the different understanding of American women's equality in clothing in different periods.
