【摘要】:本论文是一篇英译汉翻译实践报告。所翻译的文本选自美国旧金山州立大学教授弗朗西丝·梅斯所著的《一名热情游客的一年世界旅行记》一书中的第三章和第七章的内容。该书主要介绍了作者与其丈夫在西欧及非洲的12个地区的旅行游记。其中第三章和第七章分别记述了作者在意大利那不勒斯和法国勃艮第的旅行见闻,在旅行途中,作者对所到之处的文化、传统、美食、历史、文学、艺术、景观和建筑提出了自己的观点和评论。通过对源语文本内容及语言特点的分析,笔者首先从整体上对文本进行理解,其次查阅背景知识和平行文本加深对源语文本的理解。本翻译实践报告分析了文本中出现的翻译难点,详细阐述译者在解决翻译难点时采用的翻译方法,从而使翻译方法和实践做到有效结合。本实践报告主要分析了翻译难点和翻译方法。通过选取文本中的译例,重点分析了明喻和隐喻的翻译、破折号的翻译及定语从句的翻译,并运用直译法、意译法、零转换、将破折号转化成文字、将破折号转化成其他标点符号、将定语从句译成前置定语、译成并列分句或状语从句和重组句子结构等相应方法解决上述难点。最后,本报告对翻译实践进行总结,包括收获的翻译经验及对日后翻译提出的建议。
[Abstract]:This thesis is a practical report on English-Chinese translation. The translated texts are selected from chapters 3 and 7 of Frances Mays, Professor of San Francisco State University. The book introduces the author's travels with her husband in 12 regions of Western Europe and Africa. The third and seventh chapters describe the author's travels in Naples, Italy, and Burgundy, France. On the way to the trip, the author describes the culture, tradition, food, history, literature, art, etc. The landscape and architecture offer their own views and comments. Based on the analysis of the content and language characteristics of the source language, the author first understands the text as a whole, and then reads the background knowledge and the parallel text to deepen the understanding of the source language text. The present translation practice report analyzes the translation difficulties in the text and expounds in detail the translation methods used by the translator in solving the translation difficulties so that the translation method and practice can be effectively combined. This practice report mainly analyzes translation difficulties and translation methods. By selecting the translation examples in the text, this paper focuses on the translation of metaphor and metaphor, the translation of dashes and the translation of attributive clauses, and uses literal translation, free translation and zero conversion to transform dashes into text. The dashes are transformed into other punctuation marks, the attributive clauses are translated into the prepositional attributives, the paratactic clauses or adverbial clauses are translated and the structure of the sentences is reorganized to solve the above difficulties. Finally, the report summarizes translation practices, including lessons learned and suggestions for future translation.
