【摘要】：本论文旨在将跨文化对比语篇分析的理论和方法应用于中美国家领导人讲话语篇的对比分析，并将其分析结论付诸其翻译实践。本论文分为四章，主要内容介绍如下： 第一章主要追溯了对比语言学、语篇分析及对比语篇分析的历史发展。国外对比语言学的发展主要归于沃尔夫、拉多、詹姆士、菲亚斯科及巴茨尔·哈蒂姆等诸多学者的努力。在中国，近几十年来也有越来越多的学者对此学科颇为关注，如赵元任、赵世开、吕叔湘、许余龙等。自1941年沃尔夫提出“对比语言学”后，这些对比语言学家们从不同角度、不同层次对语言对比的理论及应用提出了深入的见解，同时，其他诸多学科与对比语言学的结合也推动着这一学科不断朝着更深更广的方向发展。而语篇分析则是其中之一。语篇分析出现于1952年，在此之后的发展过程中，不断融入新的有价值的研究方向和角度。随着两门学科的逐步融合，最终产生了一个新的分支—对比语篇分析。应该说，对比语篇分析的产生一部分要归于对比语言学，而另一部分则与语篇分析紧密联系。近年来，越来越多的国内外语言学家对此分析极为关注，研究视角也日趋深入和多样化。 第二章简要概述对比语篇分析的理论和方法，应该说，本论文中所用语篇分析方法是包括功能语篇分析、语用学、批评语篇分析及文化学在内的语言学诸分支中理论与方法的综合体。功能语篇分析注重对语义系统(语域、语旨、语式)的分析，结合本论文的实际特点，笔者选择语旨来作为分析的一个方面；同时，笔者将语用学中“礼貌”理论用于对语篇策略的分析，以期发现中英文语篇在使用策略方面的异同之处；此外，将FTA理论与文本类型相结合进行分析，可对其讲话者所用策略的恰当与否做出评价。随着“文化”概念的不断推广，，一些语言学家们开始尝试将语言层面的现象与文化层面相结合，以期为不同语言系统之间的差异寻找文化溯源。 第三章主要从以上所提及的研究视角入手对中美国家领导人讲话语篇进行具体的 对比分析，以发现两语篇在语旨、话语结构、礼貌策略、句法结构和词汇等方面的异同 之处。同时，本章也对中美思维层面进行了对比分析并试图为语言层面的差异作出淦释。 在本章对比分析过程中，主要采用举例说明法进行分析说明，辅以量化统计法用于词汇 层面的数据统计。通过一系列的对比分析，我们会发现，中美领导人讲话语篇在语旨、 句法结构、礼貌策略等方面均存在着较大差异，中国领导人倾向于使用正式词语及政治 术语，惯用程式化的政治语言，善用排比及重复来凸显整齐句式结构，在篇章中更多的 使用归纳式礼貌策略，而美国领导人则与之不同。 第四章力图将中美国家领导人讲话语篇对比分析结论付诸于汉英翻译实践以实现 其指导意义。领导人讲话兼有“告知”和“劝说”功能，但与其文本功能实现相关的语 言工具在中英语篇中则不尽相同。为了保证在翻译过程中文本功能不被转换或丧失，译 者必须弄清中英语篇所使用的语言策略的不同并在汉英翻译实践过程中进行适当转换。 例如:中国领导人讲话语篇多用正式性词语、政治术语及形式相对固定的问候语等，而 根据本文的分析，美国领导人则不然，如采取直译法，译文读者可能会大为不解，适当 转换则是必需之举。本章结合几个具体方面提出了一些相应的翻译策略。鉴于本论文中 的分析仅针对中美领导人讲话语篇的对比分析，这里所提出的翻译策略无法概括汉英翻 译中的所有问题，但在很大程度上可以为此类文本类型的翻译实践提供部分借鉴。 本论文尝试将跨文化对比语篇分析的理论和方法应用于一种在此之前较少涉及的 文本类型，并将其分析结论用于对翻译实践的指导。在此论文中，我尝试将更多新的研 究视角纳入此分析过程，得出的新结论已体现于第四章所提出的翻译策略中。
