语言变异视角下的流行语研究

【摘要】：语言变异是社会语言学的研究热点。作为偏离常规的一种语言现象,语言变异广泛存在于各种语体之中。流行语是一种广泛运用于社会某一社区人群、某一时段的语体形式,其特征常常呈现出地域性、时代性、幽默性和时尚性。 随着语言学研究从内部语言学向外部语言学的转向,社会语言学逐渐呈现出跨学科的研究特征。文章从介绍国内外语言变异和流行语的研究现状入手,阐述了流行语与社会、流行语与语境的关系。然后文章试图运用有序异质和言语社区理论,从语言变异的角度来分析流行语,聚焦于校园流行语和网络流行语。鉴于大学生具备较强的语言词汇创新能力、语言创新接受能力、语言创新运用和传播能力,本研究以湖南工业大学200名在校学生作为主要调查和研究对象,采用问卷调查和个人访谈形式,对校园流行语和网络流行语的分布频率及使用偏好进行了针对性的调查。文章介绍了校园流行语和网络流行语的田野调查的具体调查对象、调查方法和调查时间。基于获得的语料统计数据,文章对广泛搜集的详实语料进行了分类研究与分析;运用定性与定量相结合的分析方法,归纳了这二类流行语在语音、词汇语义、句法和符号等方面的变异特征。在语音层面上,流行语中使用了较多的拟声词、叠音和谐音;在词汇语义层面上,出现了诸多的新词、缩略词、简单词、借词、词义转换、旧词赋新意等;语法层面上主要表现为违反句法常规、句子结构简化以及疑问句、感叹句和仿拟句;符号层面上表现为灵活使用含意丰富的个性符号、表情符号、标点符号和阿拉伯数字。在此基础上,文章揭示了流行语语言变异的社会功能,包括标记功能、强调个性和融洽交际功能,然后归纳了流行语形成的三个变异规律,即创新性规律、简洁性规律和幽默性规律。 最后文章从社会、信息网络的普及和青少年特征三个方面阐述了流行语产生的原因,并探讨了其社会文化价值以及发展趋势,同时还指出了文章存在的不足之处。
