跨文化视域下的张翎小说研究

【摘要】：张翎作为北美新移民文学代表作家,置身于跨地域跨文化的环境中,生活在多元形态共存的社会空间里,其创作以开阔的视野表现了丰富的人生经验和深刻的处世哲学。本论文以张翎小说为主要研究对象,以细读文本为基础,在跨文化视域下从身份认同、空间类型以及叙事策略三个方面对张翎小说进行系统研究。第一章深入分析跨文化视域下张翎小说中的身份认同。她将个人经验与民族情感融入文化身份建构中,注入自身精神特质。本章结合跨文化理论中的“身份认同”、“自我和他者”等理论,首先论述了坚守传统的家族人、移居海外的移民群体仍执着对母体身份认同的自我形象,接着分析博爱的传教士与教授形象、开放的非华人都市人的他者形象。通过自我形象和他者形象的建构,表现自我在他者对照中认识故乡找回自我,最终确立自我对本土的身份认同。第二章探讨张翎小说中的空间类型。她的每部作品都会关涉到多个地域空间转换,人物大多跨越大洋两岸游离本土之外,并与本土发生密切联系,小说中人物经历、命运转折与空间改变有较明显的相关性。人们在不断变换的空间中挣扎徘徊,目的是寻找到合适自己生活的地方,追求精神世界的充盈。人物国内外辗转的生活经历影响夫妻、亲子、姐妹之间心理情感空间变化,社会生活空间变动带来对原乡和异乡之间爱恨交织的复杂矛盾心情。第三章阐释张翎小说中的叙事策略。她能够灵活运用各种叙事写作技巧,跨文化写作具有开阔视野。张翎小说总会涉及到东方与西方、过去与现在、历史与现实,时序交错书写打破时间线性发展顺序,虚实相生的时间描写引导读者反思历史。她从温州藻溪旁起步,一路与水同行来到大洋彼岸,跨民族的水意象和中西结合的碉楼意象运用表现作者兼容开放的文化心态。同时小说中多重叙事视角灵活转换实现全知全能的叙事效果,让读者沉浸在富有张力的文字之中。本章主要从时序交错的叙事结构、贯通中西的叙事意象、转换流动的叙事视角这三个方面探究张翎小说中的叙事策略。
[Abstract]:As the representative writer of the new immigrant literature in North America, Zhang Ling is in the cross-regional and cross-cultural environment and lives in the social space of coexistence of multiple forms. Zhang Ling's creation shows rich life experience and profound philosophy of life with a broad vision. This thesis takes Zhang Ling's novels as the main research object, and studies Zhang Ling's novels systematically from three aspects of identity, space type and narrative strategy from the perspective of cross-culture. The first chapter deeply analyzes the identity in Zhang Ling's novels from the cross-cultural perspective. She integrates her personal experience and national emotion into the construction of cultural identity and infuses her own spiritual characteristics. Combined with the theories of "identity", "self and others" in cross-cultural theory, this chapter first discusses the family members who stick to the tradition, and the immigrant groups who emigrate to foreign countries still persist in the self-image of their mother identity. Then it analyzes the image of fraternal missionaries and professors, and the other image of open non-Chinese city people. Through the construction of self-image and other-image, we can find out who we are in our hometown and finally establish our identity to our native country. The second chapter discusses the space types in Zhang Ling's novels. Each of her works is related to the transformation of many regional spaces. Most of her characters are separated from the mainland across the two sides of the ocean and are closely related to the native land. The characters' experiences, fate turns and spatial changes in the novel are obviously related to each other. People are struggling in the changing space in order to find a suitable place to live and to pursue the filling of the spiritual world. The life experiences of characters at home and abroad affect the changes of psychological and emotional space between husband and wife, parents and children, and sisters, and the change of social life space brings complex contradictory feelings of love and hate intertwined between the original country and the foreign country. The third chapter explains the narrative strategy in Zhang Ling's novels. She is able to use all kinds of narrative writing skills flexibly and has a wide range of horizons in cross-cultural writing. Zhang Ling's novels always involve the East and the West, the past and the present, the history and reality, and the time series interlaced to break the linear development sequence of time. She started from Zaoxi, Wenzhou, all the way with the water to the other side of the ocean, cross-national water image and the combination of Chinese and Western tower image to show the author's compatible and open cultural mentality. At the same time, the multi-narrative angle of view in the novel changes flexibly to realize the omnipotent narrative effect, so that the reader is immersed in the text with full of tension. This chapter mainly explores the narrative strategies in Zhang Ling's novels from three aspects: the staggered narrative structure, the transiting of Chinese and western narrative images, and the transformation of flowing narrative perspectives.
