【摘要】：《天真时代》是伊迪丝·华顿的代表作,讲述了男主人公纽兰·阿切尔和两位女性埃伦·奥兰斯卡与妻子梅·韦兰之间的情感纠葛,小说成功揭示了美国上层阶级中男权制度的专断和强横,冷静透彻地分析了以男性为主导的上流社会对美国女性的不正当歧视和精神思想控制,利用男权观念占统治地位的道德理念、价值观念和教条规范束缚女性的情感婚姻、行为活动和精神追求,是一部女性主体意识觉醒的代表之作。
[Abstract]:The Age of Innocence is Edith Wharton's masterpiece about the emotional entanglement between the hero Newland Archer and two women Ellen Olenska and his wife May Welland. The novel successfully reveals the arbitrariness and arbitrariness of the patriarchal system in the upper class of the United States, and calmly and thoroughly analyzes the male-dominated upper class society's improper discrimination and spiritual control over American women.
