【摘要】：文章共分四部分,通过分析笛福、理查森和菲尔丁的文学作品,探讨18世纪英国作家对绅士形象的塑造。第一章从词源角度梳理了绅士在不同历史时期概念的演变,整理了绅士文化从骑士到19世纪公立学校绅士教育的变化,以及绅士精神在英国的继承与发扬。第二章围绕着笛福在作品《杰克上校》中的绅士书写展开,笛福笔下的主人公杰克是个与“邪恶”无缘的十足的英国绅士,笛福赋予他高尚的品性。他心地善良、慷慨、正义。杰克幼小时就是个小偷,最后成为种植园主。杰克是社会底层的代表,通过努力,获得了成功,实现了阶级转变,具有彻底的道德倾向。第三章分析了理查森的道德理想以及他作品中的道德形象的塑造。他书写的完美绅士——格兰迪森爵士的言行举止具有更强烈的说教意义。他不受各种诱惑,守身如玉,对亲人朋友慷慨大方,遇到需要帮助的人行侠仗义。第四章阐释了菲尔丁对“自然人”绅士的描绘,他认为“人无完人”,人性中某些错误是由于社会腐败和道德沦丧的环境所导致,人性中的自然道德才是根本。他笔下的汤姆就是善的代言人,是具有自然道德的化身。最后,文章总结了这三位小说家笔下的人物,表达了他们对当时社会道德论争的回应,为新兴阶级的自我塑造提供了良好借鉴。
[Abstract]:The article is divided into four parts, through the analysis of Defoe, Richardson and Fielding's literary works, on eighteenth Century the British writer to shape the image of a gentleman. The fourth chapter explains the Fielding's depiction of the "natural person" gentleman he said, "no man is perfect, some human errors are the result of social corruption and moral environment caused by human nature, morality is the fundamental.
