【摘要】：西奥多·德莱塞是美国19世纪末20世纪上半叶最重要的小说家之一,在美国文学史上具有重要的地位和影响。《珍妮姑娘》是一本具有现实主义的小说,是德莱塞本人最为满意的作品。论文用二元对立理论对作品中男人/女人、个人/社会、宗教/世俗三组二元对立进行分析。探讨作品中对女性地位个人与社会冲突和宗教信仰这三大问题的思考。文章由五个部分构成。第一章介绍作家德莱塞,小说《珍妮姑娘》,以及研究现状综述,并对二元对立思想进行简单介绍。第二章详细分析小说中男人与女人的二元对立。在男人/女人这组二元对立中,男人趋于主导地位,处于这组二元对立体的中心,而女性处于从属地位。作者对女性在以男性为中心的社会中被边缘化、受压迫的刻画,体现了作者对女性的同情。第三章中两个主要人物的不同命运出发,分析了社会与个人的二元对立。社会处于个人/社会这组二元对立体中的中心,个人的发展与命运受制于社会的潮流。出身贫寒的珍妮想要在这个物欲横流的资本主义社会中追求幸福生活,却受到社会接二连三的打击。雷斯特最后迫于社会压力也只能和珍妮分开。第四章讲述以往宗教主义所倡导的节约和美国的消费主义的二元对立。第五章,在本章得出结论：正是男女的不平等、社会的等级制度和宗教制度阻碍了珍妮通往幸福的路。
[Abstract]:Theodore Dreiser is one of the most important novelists in the first half of the United States in the end of 19th century and 20th century, and has an important position and influence in the history of American literature. Is the most satisfied work of Dreiser himself. The thesis uses the theory of duality to analyze men / women, individuals / society in his works. This paper analyzes the three groups of dual opposites of religion and secularism, and probes into the consideration of the three major problems of female status, personal and social conflict and religious belief in the works. The article consists of five parts. The first chapter introduces the writer Dreiser, the novel Jane Girl, and the current situation of the research. The second chapter analyzes the binary opposition between men and women in detail. In the dualistic opposition of men / women, men tend to dominate and are at the center of this set of binary pairs. The author's portrayal of women being marginalized and oppressed in a male-centered society reflects the author's sympathy for women. This paper analyzes the dualistic opposition between society and individual. Society is at the center of the group of dual pairs of individuals / societies. The development and fate of the individual is constrained by the trend of society. Jenny, born from a poor family, wants to pursue a happy life in this materialistic capitalist society. Lester was finally forced by social pressure to separate herself from Jeanne. 4th, about the duality of saving advocated by religious doctrine and consumerism in the United States. 5th. In this chapter, we conclude that it is inequality between men and women, social hierarchy and religious system that hinder Jenny's path to happiness.
