《一路到底》中的历史、道德与权力

【摘要】：罗伯特·申堪新作《一路到底》荣获2014年美国戏剧界最高荣誉"托尼奖"和"纽约戏剧委员会奖"两项最佳戏剧奖。剧作再现了美国20世纪60年代最动荡的1964年,肯尼迪的继任者约翰逊总统运用种种手段,促成《民权法》的通过,但又将国家推入了越南战争的泥沼。剧作体现了申堪一贯的创作主题和意图:揭示现实历史背后的道德操守与政治权力之间的巨大差异,进而暴露出历史真相的丑陋。
[Abstract]:Robert Schencan won the 2014 Tony Awards and the New York Drama Council Award for Best Drama. The play reproduces the most turbulent 1964 in the 1960s, when Kennedy's successor, President Johnson, used various means to promote the passage of the Civil Rights Act, but pushed the country into the mire of the Vietnam War. The play embodies the theme and intention of Shen Kan's consistent creation: revealing the great difference between moral integrity and political power behind the real history, and then exposing the ugliness of historical truth.
