《暮光之城》系列性别角色的文化探讨

【摘要】:斯蒂芬妮·梅尔的系列小说《暮光之城》自2005年出版以来,在全球的年轻女性读者中引起了广泛的流行。当传统的吸血鬼小说将吸血鬼描绘成威胁社会的外来者,《暮光之城》中的吸血鬼却将他们的生活融进了主流社会之中,并且得到了女主角的仰慕。本文将以《暮光之城》系列小说的文本为研究对象,探究男女主角之间的性别设置与关系,以及女主角如何通过对婚姻、母性和家庭生活的价值选择来实现一种保守的女性价值观,,由此强化了父权制文化。 本文分为四个部分。第一部分包括引言和《暮光之城》系列小说的背景介绍:斯蒂芬妮·梅尔和摩门教,《暮光之城》与英国古典文学,以及《暮光之城》与媒介评论。第二部分从男性吸血鬼形象、女性吸血鬼形象和吸血鬼形象的社会认同这三个方面,探讨了该系列小说中吸血鬼的两性形象。第三部分将通过分析男女主人公的基本性别结构,来探讨他们对男子气概和女性气质的建构,以及他们如何表现狮子与羔羊的关系的隐喻。同时第四部分从女主角对婚姻,母性和家庭生活的态度,来分析该小说如何体现了父权制下的女性价值观。
[Abstract]:Stephanie Mayer's novel Twilight has gained popularity among young female readers worldwide since its publication in 2005. While traditional vampire novels portray vampires as outsiders who threaten society, the vampires in Twilight incorporate their lives into mainstream society and are admired by the heroine. This paper will take the text of Twilight series as the research object to explore the gender settings and relationships between male and female protagonists, and how the heroine adopts marriage. Maternal and family life value choice to realize a conservative female values, which strengthens the patriarchal culture. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part includes the introduction and the background of the Twilight series: Stephanie Mayer and Mormon, Twilight and English classical literature, and Twilight and media reviews. The second part discusses the sexual images of vampires in this series of novels from three aspects: male vampire image, female vampire image and social identity of vampire image. In the third part, by analyzing the basic gender structure of the protagonists and heroines, the author discusses their construction of masculinity and femininity, and how they express the metaphors of the relationship between the lion and the lamb. At the same time, the fourth part analyzes how the novel embodies the female values under the patriarchal system from the attitude of the heroine to marriage, motherhood and family life.
