[Abstract]:Adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter A1 (ATP-binding cassette transporter A1ABCA1) is an important transmembrane protein that mediates intracellular lipid outflow and maintains lipid metabolic balance in cells. It is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis (as). Recently, the research team (Cell-2017-1691228-1239) composed of Professor Yan Ning and Dr. Gong Xin from the Center for Advanced Innovation in structural Biology of Tsinghua University prepared the recombinant human full-length ABCA1 protein with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using frozen electron microscopy.
