高中生思辨能力与英语议论文写作水平的相关性研究

【摘要】:写作教学是英语教学中的重难点,而英语议论文写作教学更是高中英语写作教学中的重点。作为一种集分析、综合、推理和判断于一体的综合能力,思辨能力对学生英语议论文写作水平有着很大的影响。教师们如果能够了解到高中生思辨能力现状及它与英语议论文写作水平的关系,那么他们就能更有针对性地提高学生英语议论文写作的能力。本研究以漳州市某中学高三年级的156名学生作为研究对象,在思辨能力和英语写作现有相关理论及实证研究的基础上,采用问卷调查法、访谈法和语料分析法等研究方法,分析了高中生思辨能力与其英语议论文写作水平之间的关系。结果表明:(1)高中生整体具有正面思辨能力人格倾向;(2)高中生思辨能力中的各维度能力由高到低依次为好奇心、正义性、开放性、寻真性、认知成熟度、分析性、坚韧性和自信度;(3)高中生思辨能力与其英语议论文写作水平的相关性系数为0.482,即两者呈正相关关系。思辨能力的八个维度中分析性、寻真性和认知成熟度与高中生的英语议论文写作水平之间具有正相关关系,它们之间的相关性系数分别为0.348、0.416、0.477,而其他五个维度与英语写作能力之间并没有达到显著的相关水平;(4)思辨能力对高中生英语议论文写作的审题、立意、布局和表述四个方面皆有影响。本文分别从英语教师和学校的角度出发,在英语课堂教学和课程设置等方面提出了关于提高学生思辨能力和英语议论文写作能力的相关建议,希望能给后续研究提供一定的参考价值。
[Abstract]:Writing teaching is an important and difficult part in English teaching, and argumentative writing teaching is an important part of English writing teaching in senior high school. As a comprehensive ability of analyzing, synthesizing, reasoning and judging, writing teaching is an important part of English writing teaching in senior high school. Speculative ability has great influence on students' writing level of argumentative essays. If teachers can understand the present situation of high school students' speculative ability and its relationship with English argumentative writing level, Then they will be able to improve their English argumentative writing ability more purposefully. In this study, 156 senior middle school students in a middle school in Zhangzhou City were selected as the subjects of the study. On the basis of the existing theoretical and empirical research on speculative ability and English writing, the research methods are questionnaire, interview and corpus analysis. This paper analyzes the relationship between the thinking ability of senior high school students and their English argumentative writing level. The results show that: 1) Senior high school students as a whole have positive speculative ability and personality tendency 2) the ability of each dimension of thinking ability of senior high school students is from high to low in order of curiosity. Justice, openness, truth-seeking, cognitive maturity, analytical, The correlation coefficient between thinking ability and English argumentative writing ability of senior high school students is 0.482, that is, there is a positive correlation between them. There is a positive correlation between truth-seeking and cognitive maturity and high school students' English argumentative writing ability. The correlation coefficient between them is 0.348 / 0.416 / 0.477, respectively, while the other five dimensions have not reached a significant level of correlation with English writing ability. From the perspective of English teachers and schools, this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve students' thinking ability and argumentative writing ability in English classroom teaching and curriculum design. Hope to provide some reference value for the follow-up study.
