母语负迁移对高中生英语写作影响的实证研究

【摘要】:自19世纪末以来,母语迁移一直是二语习得研究的一个中心问题。母语迁移是指在二语习得中学习者的母语对所学目标语的影响。母语迁移分为正迁移和负迁移,正迁移促进外语学习,而负迁移则阻碍外语学习。对于母语负迁移的分析研究也经历了对比分析理论,错误分析理论和中介语理论等阶段,进一步完善了人们对母语迁移现象的理解,同时也促进了外语教学的发展。写作是衡量语言水平的综合体现,也是母语负迁移最明显的语言导出形式。因此笔者希望通过对母语负迁移为什么会使高中生在英语写作中犯错误这一现象进行研究从而探讨出有利于学生英语学习的有效方法,减少高中生在英语写作中由母语负迁移影响而产生的错误,提高英语写作水平。本研究以广州大学附属东江中学的两个广附班一个实验班的122名同学作为研究对象,通过写作样本收集,问卷调查,访谈三个方式来进行数据收集。在对比分析,错误分析,中介语理论的指导下对数据进行了分类,统计,分析。研究结果表明高中生英语写作中三分之二的错误都受到了母语的影响。母语负迁移的影响主要表现在语法形态的负迁移,词汇的负迁移,句法的负迁移以及语篇负迁移。其中句法层面的负迁移最为严重。母语之所以会对高中生的英语写作产生如此严重的负迁移影响,可以从三个方面来分析。第一,是中文和英文属于不同的语系,母语与目标语的距离太远且英语自身的复杂性等原因的影响下,高中生在英语写作中很大程度上受到了母语负迁移影响。第二,由于课程内容太多,很多老师对于英语写作教学的重视程度不够没有及时提醒纠正学生因母语负迁移而产生的错误。所以学生容易受到母语负迁移的影响。第三,在学生学习英语之前,他们已经有一个完整的母语体系,而且生活在纯母语的环境中的他们缺乏足够的目标语输入。研究最后就高中生英语写作中母语负迁移的研究发现对外语教学提出了几点建议,期望能帮助高中生在写作中减少母语迁移,提高写作水平。
[Abstract]:Mother tongue transfer has been a central issue in second language acquisition since the end of the 19 th century. Mother tongue transfer refers to the influence of the learner's mother tongue on the target language in second language acquisition. Mother tongue transfer includes positive transfer and negative transfer, positive transfer promotes foreign language learning, and negative transfer hinders foreign language learning. The analysis of negative transfer of mother tongue has gone through the stages of contrastive analysis theory, error analysis theory and interlanguage theory, which has further improved people's understanding of the phenomenon of mother tongue transfer and promoted the development of foreign language teaching. Writing is not only a comprehensive reflection of language proficiency, but also the most obvious form of language derivation from negative transfer of mother tongue. Therefore, the author hopes to study the reasons why the negative transfer of mother tongue makes senior high school students make mistakes in English writing so as to explore the effective methods that are beneficial to students' English learning. To reduce the errors caused by the negative transfer of mother tongue in high school students' English writing and improve their English writing level. In this study, 122 students from two experimental classes in Dongjiang Middle School affiliated to Guangzhou University were selected as the research objects. The data were collected through writing sample collection, questionnaire survey and interview. Under the guidance of contrastive analysis, error analysis and interlanguage theory, the data are classified, counted and analyzed. The results show that 2/3 of the errors in high school students' English writing are influenced by their mother tongue. The influence of negative transfer of mother tongue is mainly reflected in negative transfer of grammatical form, negative transfer of vocabulary, negative transfer of syntax and negative transfer of text. The negative transfer at syntactic level is the most serious. The influence of mother tongue on high school students' English writing can be analyzed from three aspects. First, Chinese and English belong to different languages, the distance between the mother tongue and the target language is too far and the complexity of the English language, and so on, the high school students are greatly influenced by the negative transfer of mother tongue in English writing. Second, because of the content of the curriculum, many teachers do not pay enough attention to the teaching of English writing and do not remind students to correct the mistakes caused by the negative transfer of their mother tongue. So students are vulnerable to negative transfer of their mother tongue. Third, before students learn English, they already have a complete native language system, and they lack sufficient target language input for living in a pure native language environment. At the end of the study, some suggestions on the negative transfer of mother tongue in senior high school students' English writing are put forward, which are expected to help them reduce the transfer of their mother tongue and improve their writing level.
