江西省高考英语口语考试对高中英语教学的反拨作用研究

【摘要】:反拨作用指的是测试对教学的影响。从二十世纪九十年代起反拨作用引起了许多学者的关注,他们从理论和实践两方面进行了较为深入的研究,对丰富测试理论和推动教学改革及发展做出了突出的贡献,但国内的此类研究在理论和实践上都有待加强,而关于高考英语口试的反拨作用研究更是屈指可数。那么高考英语口语考试对高中英语教与学产生了怎样的反拨作用呢?为进一步了解当前江西省高考英语口语考试的反拨作用,本文在Hughes(1993)和AldersonWall(1993)的反拨理论基础上,结合我国高中英语的教学实际,参照了亓鲁霞(2004)的问卷对江西省四所高中的53位英语教师和245位高三学生进行了调查。在问卷数据收集和分析后,作者邀请其中的5位教师进行了访谈,并对随机抽样的3位教师进行了课堂观察。本文使用SPSS 17.0对教师问卷及学生问卷进行了描述性分析,并对教师访谈及课堂观察数据进行整理和分析。通过研究结果发现,江西省高考英语口语考试对高中英语教学产生了很大的影响,这种影响可以总结为以下几个方面:1)高考英语口语考试对大多数高中英语教师的教学态度、教学动机产生了积极的反拨作用;2)高考英语口语考试对大多数高中英语教师的教学实践没有产生积极的反拨作用(mean=2.99);3)高考英语口语考试对大多数高三学生的学习态度、学习动机产生了积极的反拨作用;4)高考英语口语考试对大多数高三学生的学习实践没有产生积极的反拨作用(mean=2.50)。而导致上述结果的原因在于江西省高考英语口语考试成绩并没有纳入总成绩,且研究发现高考口语考试在信度和效度上都存在问题。另外,教师的教学信念以及学生的重视程度也影响着高考英语口语考试的反拨作用。基于以上研究结果,作者对如何提高高考英语口语测试的积极反拨作用提出了有针对性的建议。从口语考试本身方面来说,需要增加其在高考中的比重,设计真实互动的考试环境,制定详细的评分标准,利用现代信息技术,提高评审水平,从而发挥高风险测试的强大反拨作用推动口语教学的积极良性发展。从教师教学方面而言,教师应不断更新教学理念、教学方法,从而有效提高学生的语言交际能力。从学习者方面来说,应认识到口语能力的重要性,其次要平衡好口语学习与高考二者的关系,注重学以致用。
[Abstract]:Backwash refers to the impact of testing on teaching. Since the 1990s, many scholars have paid close attention to the role of backwash. They have carried out more in-depth research in both theory and practice, and have made outstanding contributions to enriching the theory of testing and promoting the reform and development of teaching. However, this kind of research needs to be strengthened both theoretically and practically. What kind of backwash effect does the oral English examination of the college entrance examination have on English teaching and learning in senior high school? In order to further understand the backwash effect of college entrance examination in Jiangxi Province, this paper, based on the theory of Hughes (1993) and AldersonWall (1993), combines the teaching practice of senior high school English in our country. According to Qi Luxia (2004)'s questionnaire, 53 English teachers and 245 senior high school students in four high schools in Jiangxi Province were investigated. After the questionnaire data were collected and analyzed, the author invited five of the teachers to conduct interviews, and conducted classroom observation on the random sample of three teachers. This paper uses SPSS 17.0 to analyze the teacher's questionnaire and the student's questionnaire, and collates and analyzes the teachers' interview and classroom observation data. The results show that the oral English examination in Jiangxi province has a great influence on senior high school English teaching, which can be summed up as follows: 1) the teaching attitude of the oral English examination to the majority of senior high school English teachers. The motivation of teaching has a positive backwash effect. 2) the oral English examination of the college entrance examination has no positive backwash effect on the teaching practice of most senior English teachers (mean=2.99) 3) the attitude of the oral English examination to the majority of senior high school students. (4) the oral English examination of college entrance examination has no positive backwash effect on the learning practice of most senior high school students (mean=2.50). The reason for the above results lies in the fact that the scores of oral English examination in Jiangxi Province are not included in the total scores, and it is found that there are problems in the reliability and validity of the oral examination of the college entrance examination. In addition, teachers' teaching beliefs and students' attention also influence the backwash effect of oral English examination. Based on the above findings, the author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the positive backwash effect of oral English test in college entrance examination. From the aspect of oral test itself, it is necessary to increase its proportion in the college entrance examination, to design a real interactive examination environment, to draw up detailed scoring standards, to use modern information technology, and to improve the evaluation level. In order to play the role of high-risk testing to promote the positive and positive development of oral teaching. In terms of teachers' teaching, teachers should constantly update their teaching ideas and methods so as to effectively improve students' communicative competence in language. From the aspect of learners, we should recognize the importance of oral ability, and then balance the relationship between oral learning and college entrance examination.
