新创企业创新困境突破:外部搜寻双元性及其与企业知识基础的匹配

【摘要】：外部知识搜寻是新创企业突破创新困境的重要途径,然而其内在作用机理有待深入剖析,尤其对于双元搜寻"平衡性"与"组合性"的作用还有待进一步揭示。为此本文从外部搜寻双元性出发,引入知识基础的概念构建分析框架。实证结果发现:从单一性来看,新创企业外部搜寻深度对创新绩效的影响呈倒U型,外部搜寻广度对创新绩效具有线性的正向影响;而从双元性来看,外部搜寻深度与广度之间呈现一定的替代效应,二者间的平衡有利于促进创新绩效。本文还探讨了外部搜寻双元性与企业知识基础的匹配关系,即企业知识基础宽度能够正向调节搜寻广度与创新绩效间的作用关系,知识基础深度能够正向调节搜寻深度与创新绩效间的作用关系,且在搜寻广度与创新绩效之间起到负向调节作用。进一步,知识基础宽度与深度均能放大组合型搜寻的影响效应,而平衡型双元搜寻主要依靠知识基础宽度来发挥作用。研究结论从双元性视角加深了对开放式创新"悖论"的认知,也为新创企业知识管理实践提供了有益启示。
[Abstract]:The search for external knowledge is an important way for new enterprises to break through the dilemma of innovation. However, its internal mechanism needs to be deeply analyzed, especially the role of "balance" and "combination" of dual search needs to be further revealed. In this paper, the concept of knowledge base is introduced to construct an analytical framework from the perspective of external search duality. The empirical results show that: from the single point of view, the impact of external search depth on innovation performance is inverted U-shaped, and the external search breadth has a linear positive impact on innovation performance, while from the perspective of duality, the external search breadth has a linear positive impact on innovation performance. There is a certain substitution effect between the depth and breadth of the external search, and the balance between the two is conducive to promoting innovation performance. This paper also discusses the matching relationship between external search duality and enterprise knowledge base, that is, the width of enterprise knowledge base can positively adjust the relationship between search breadth and innovation performance. The depth of knowledge base can positively regulate the relationship between search depth and innovation performance, and play a negative role in the relationship between search breadth and innovation performance. Furthermore, both the width and depth of knowledge base can amplify the effect of combinatorial search, while the balanced binary search mainly depends on the width of knowledge base. The conclusion of the study deepens the cognition of the "paradox" of open innovation from the perspective of duality, and also provides beneficial enlightenment for the practice of knowledge management in newly established enterprises.
