高中英语善学者学习特征的研究

【摘要】：在语言学习中,学习者的因素越来越受到重视。其中,对“语言善学者(good Language Learner)的研究是教学研究中的重要组成部分。国外在二十世纪七十年代中期就对语言善学者有了很多研究。研究发现语言善学者的确具有一些共同学习特征。如,Rubin(1975)提出语言善学者运用类似的语言学习策略;等研究人员基于对被研究者的访谈、实地观察和问卷调查等一些研究手段,列举出了语言善学者所具备的一些共同特征。从二十世纪八十年代开始,我国也陆续出现了对语言学习成功者的研究。桂诗春(1985)通过对大学生的调查研究,列出了中国环境下语言善学者具备的特征。文秋芳(1995)比较了一个学习成功者与不成功者在语言学习方法上的差异。傅政(2001)提出了学习成功者构成要素模型。他们的研究归纳总结了国内环境下英语善学者在学习兴趣、学习动机、学习策略方法、学习习惯、学习环境,及学习者自觉性方面的诸多特征。我们注意到以上提到的国内外研究大部分是对大学生或成年英语学习者进行的。与成年英语学习者相比,高中英语学习者在学习心理、学习目的、学习动机、学习条件和氛围、学习社会环境等各方面,都有很大差异。高中英语学习中的善学者,应该有着自己的一些特质。但对于处于高中英语学习阶段的英语学习者的研究还是较缺乏的。本文旨在对中国高中英语学习者进行研究,希望找出这些高中英语学习者中善学者在语言学习动机、学习自主性以及学习策略选择方面的共同特征,并指出希望通过这些研究发现来做出更深层次的挖掘和分析。在一定程度上帮助高中英语学习者的同时,也有助于高中的英语教学的顺利进行。该研究首先根据前人的研究结果设计问卷,向参加“全国基础教育英语水平检测”(SEAS PROFICIENCY TEST,简称“习思考试”)并获得优秀等级分数的248名高中学生发放。接下来作者对随机挑选的10名学生和2名老师进行了访谈。然后进行数据收集和整理分析,得出了他们的在英语学习中的确存在共同特征:一、他们都有浓厚的学习兴趣和强烈的学习动机;二、他们能从英语学习中获得乐趣和满足;三、他们能积极主动地把自己的思考、思维活动渗入到整个学习过程中;四、他们掌握并善于利用适当、正确的方法、策略进行有效的学习,学习效率较高,学习基础扎实;五、他们都乐于学习,具有很强的学习自主性;六、他们进行大量的听、读联系,同时也重视说和写的练习等等。在对高中英语学习者的学习特质进行归纳总结的同时,作者也对如何激发学习动机、培训学习策略、培养学生自主学习能力等方面进行了讨论。此论文的研究结果对高中的英语教学和高中英语学习者具有一定帮助作用。
[Abstract]:In language learning, the factors of learners are becoming more and more important. Among them, the study of "good Language Learner" is an important part of teaching research. In the middle of the 1970s, there was a lot of research on good scholars in the middle of the 1970s. It is found that scholars of good language do have some common learning features. For example, Rubin (1975) put forward that language good scholars use similar language learning strategies. Based on interviews with researchers, field observations and questionnaires, researchers listed some common characteristics of good language scholars. Since 1980s, the study of successful language learning has emerged in China. GUI (1985) through the investigation and study of college students, lists the characteristics of China environment with good language learners. Wen Qiufang (1995) compares the difference between a successful learner and an unsuccessful person in the language learning method. Fu Zheng (2001) proposed the element model of the success of the learning. Their research summarizes the characteristics of English good scholars in the domestic environment, such as learning interest, learning motivation, learning strategies, learning habits, learning environment and learner consciousness. We note that most of the domestic and foreign research mentioned above is carried out by college students or adult learners of English. Compared with adult English learners, high school English learners have great differences in learning psychology, learning purpose, learning motivation, learning conditions and atmosphere, learning social environment and so on. The good scholars in high school English study should have some of their own characteristics. However, the study of English learners in the high school English learning stage is still less. This paper aims at the research of Chinese high school English learners, hoping to find the high school English learners in learning motivation, good learner autonomy in language learning and the choice of learning strategies of common characteristics, and points out the hope that through these findings to make deeper analysis and mining. To a certain extent, the help of high school English learners is also helpful to the smooth progress of English Teaching in high school. First, according to the results of previous studies, the study designed questionnaires to 248 senior high school students who participated in the SEAS PROFICIENCY TEST, and got excellent grades. The author then interviewed 10 randomly selected students and 2 teachers. Then the data collection and analysis, draw them in learning English does exist common features: first, they have a strong interest in learning and strong learning motivation; two, they can get pleasure and satisfaction from learning English; three, they can actively make their own thinking, thinking into to the whole learning process; four, they grasp and make good use of appropriate and correct methods and strategies for effective learning, learning efficiency, learning basis; five, they are willing to learn, learning autonomy is very strong; six, they do a lot of listening, reading, speaking and also pay attention to writing etc.. After summarizing the learning characteristics of high school English learners, the author also discussed how to stimulate learning motivation, train learning strategies, and cultivate students' autonomous learning ability. The results of this paper are helpful to senior high school English teaching and high school English learners.
