语境理论在职业高中英语阅读教学中的应用研究

【摘要】:英语阅读在英语语言学习中扮演着十分重要的角色。通过英语阅读学生可以获得大量的知识和信息,教师可以检验学生是否真正掌握英语学习能力。但是,现如今我国职业高中学生的阅读水平的现状与所到达的标准仍存在着一段的距离;其原因主要是在于大多数职业高中教师把教学重点放在对单词的解释、句子的翻译和语法的划分,阅读教学普遍存在着费时且效率低下的现象。因此寻找一种有效的英语教学模式来弥补传统教学模式中的不足是英语教师们需要解决的问题。20世纪,人类学家马林洛夫斯基首先提出语境理论这一概念,其后,许多语言学者都对语境理论进行了探讨和研究。在众多研究者的研究基础之上,本文将语境理论应用在职业高中英语阅读教学之中,为了论证这种教学方法是否有效,本论文需要检验以下三个问题:1)语境理论指导下的阅读教学能否有效地培养学生的阅读策略?2)语境理论指导下的阅读教学能否提高学生的阅读分数?3)实验组的学生对语境理论指导下的阅读教学持什么样的态度?为了探索采用语境理论对职业高中学生进行阅读课堂教学的可行性和有效性,笔者进行了持续了4个月的语境理论阅读教学实验。实验对象是营口职业高中学校两个班级的学生。实验班和控制班是随机指定的,实验班采取语境理论阅读教学,控制班学生仍使用传统式教学。本研究采用定量和定性分析结合的方法。数据的收集包括调查问卷,前测,后测和访谈。通过对调查问卷的分析来比较实验班和控制班阅读策略的使用情况,前测和后测的分析来比较两班的阅读成绩,访谈的分析来了解语境理论是否受到学生的欢迎。实验证明,两个平行班(实验班和控制班)的60名学生在阅读测验中都取得了进步,但实验班比控制班学生的分数提高得更为显著。问卷的前测和后测显示语境理论指导下的阅读教学能有效地培养学生的阅读策略。访谈结果表明语境这种教学模式能增加学生的阅读热情。因此,在职业高中英语阅读教学中运用以语境理论为指导的阅读教学模式是可行而又非常有益的。最后期望本研究的成果能为职业高中英语老师提供一些英语阅读教学的可行性借鉴,从而有效地提高学生的阅读能力。
[Abstract]:English reading plays a very important role in English language learning. Through English reading students can get a lot of knowledge and information, teachers can test whether students really master English learning ability. However, Nowadays, there is still a gap between the present situation of reading level and the standard reached by vocational high school students in our country, which is mainly due to the fact that most vocational high school teachers focus on the explanation of words. The translation of sentences and the division of grammar and the teaching of reading are generally time-consuming and inefficient. Therefore, it is a problem for English teachers to solve the problem in the 20th century to find an effective English teaching mode to make up for the shortcomings in the traditional teaching mode. Ma Lin Lovsky, an anthropologist, first put forward the concept of contextual theory, and later, many linguists have explored and studied contextual theory. In order to prove whether this teaching method is effective or not, this paper applies contextual theory to English reading teaching in vocational high school. This thesis needs to test the following three questions: 1) whether the reading teaching under the guidance of context theory can effectively cultivate students' reading strategies? 2) can the reading teaching under the guidance of context theory improve students' reading scores? 3) what is the attitude of the students in the experimental group towards reading teaching under the guidance of context theory? In order to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of using context theory in reading classroom teaching for vocational high school students, The author conducted an experiment of contextual theoretical reading teaching for four months. The experimental subjects were students from two classes in Yingkou Vocational High School. The experimental class and the control class were randomly assigned, and the experimental class adopted context theory reading teaching. The students in the control class still use traditional teaching. The method of combining quantitative and qualitative analysis is used in this study. The data collection includes questionnaire, pretest, Through the analysis of questionnaire to compare the use of reading strategies between the experimental class and the control class, and the analysis of pre-test and post-test to compare the reading scores of the two classes, The interviews were conducted to find out whether the context theory is popular with the students. The experiment proved that 60 students in the two parallel classes (the experimental class and the control class) made progress in the reading test. However, the scores of the students in the experimental class were significantly higher than those in the control class. The pre-test and post-test of the questionnaire showed that the reading teaching under the guidance of context theory could effectively cultivate the students' reading strategies. The results of the interview showed that context was a teaching model. Style can increase the students' reading enthusiasm. It is feasible and beneficial to use the context-guided reading teaching model in vocational high school English reading teaching. Finally, it is expected that the results of this study can provide some practical reference for vocational high school English teachers in reading teaching. So as to effectively improve the students' reading ability.
