【摘要】：正随着社会的快速发展,现代汉语中有很多词都已"旧貌换新颜","延烧"就是一个典型代表。《现代汉语词典》(第6版)对"延烧"的解释是:动火势蔓延燃烧。这是"延烧"的本来意义,是比较实在的传统含义,它的用例如:(1)重庆是个山城,房子都是木结构,坡上坡下,参差不齐,一旦燃烧,……全市火海,而且水电设备也被炸坏,救也无法救,一直延烧到第二天才熄。(《人民日报》1995年8月25日)
