新课标下初中英语词汇教学现状的个案调查与研究
[Abstract]:Vocabulary is one of the indispensable elements of language. With the increase of the number of English words in middle schools, many students generally find English words difficult to remember. This will directly affect their interest and enthusiasm in learning English. Therefore, it is a very important task for middle school English teaching to strengthen English vocabulary teaching and cultivate students' ability to learn and use English vocabulary. The English Curriculum Standard (Experimental draft) issued in 2011 (hereinafter referred to as "the New Curriculum Standard") has put forward clear requirements for the study and teaching of English vocabulary, and the existing requirements for vocabulary learning and teaching. Also has the teaching method and the study way request. Whether the English teachers in junior high school will follow the idea proposed by the new curriculum has attracted the attention of the experts and become our concern. In this context, the author investigates the present situation of vocabulary teaching in a middle school in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, in order to improve the quality of English vocabulary teaching. Six English teachers and 133 students (117 valid questionnaires) participated in this study. This paper investigates the following questions by questionnaire, classroom observation and interview: 1. What are the students' attitudes and views on vocabulary learning? In the teaching activities, what vocabulary teaching methods are mainly used by junior middle school English teachers? Has the teacher studied the ideas proposed in the new curriculum and put them into practice? If not, what's the problem? Through the analysis of the data, the author finds that: 1. Students generally agree on the importance of vocabulary learning in English learning. They generally believe that vocabulary learning needs methods and is eager to get guidance from teachers. Most students want their teachers to use new methods to teach vocabulary. 2.4 the teachers were very familiar with the requirements and concepts of the new curriculum standard, and 2 teachers were familiar with it. Although some teachers are trying to teach vocabulary in the way advocated by the new curriculum, most of the time teachers still use traditional methods to teach vocabulary 3. The main reason for the gap between the present vocabulary teaching situation and the idea advocated by the new curriculum standard is that there are more contents in the class and teachers are used to the traditional teaching methods and are unwilling to make changes.
