基于语境理论的初中英语词汇教学实证研究

【摘要】：词汇是语言最基本的组成部分,是学习英语的关键。然而,传统英语词汇教学存在缺陷。教师存在脱离语境孤立地进行词汇教学的现象,往往把重点放在学生对词汇的机械记忆上,这种死记硬背的方式很难激起学生的学习兴趣,学生很容易遗忘所学的词汇。近年来,语境理论备受关注,越来越多的学者开始重视语境理论对英语词汇教学的影响,目前将这一理论应用于高中和大学的词汇教学研究较多,应用于初中英语词汇教学的研究还是很少的。因此本研究以初中二年级学生为研究对象,将语境理论应用于英语词汇教学中,旨在研究以下三个研究问题:(1)基于语境理论的初中英语词汇教学能否提高学生运用语境进行词汇学习的意识?(2)基于语境理论的初中英语词汇教学能否延长学生的词汇记忆时间?(3)基于语境理论的初中英语词汇教学是否更有效?教学实验为期四个月,采用了对照班的形式。78名初中二年级的学生参加了本次教学实践,其中实验班40人采用语境理论进行词汇教学,控制班38人采用传统词汇教学法。问卷调查和访谈的数据分析结果表示,基于语境理论的词汇教学方式对实验班学生运用语境进行词汇学习的意识有积极的影响;实验班和控制班各自的中测和延时测的分析结果表明,实验班学生的词汇长时记忆效果好于控制班,除此之外,访谈结果也进一步表明实验班学生的词汇长时记忆效果很好;实验班和控制班后测成绩分析则表明基于语境理论的英语词汇教学比传统词汇教学方法更有效。
