初中英语新教师教师信念与教学行为关系个案研究

【摘要】：许多研究表明:教师信念是教师自认为可信的观点和态度,它不仅对教师的教学行为有重要的导向作用,而且影响其教学行为的有效性。在外语教学中,教师信念通常包含语言观、教学法观、学生观、教材观、教师作用观、教师自我发展观等。虽然国内外学者已经对教师信念开展了大量的研究,但是对于英语新教师,尤其是初中英语新教师信念的研究很少。众所周知,每一位有经验的教师都是从新教师成长起来的。为了给新教师提供更多的理论指导,作者通过个案研究,探寻新教师的教师信念与教学行为之间的关系,探究导致教师信念与教学行为不一致的因素,帮助他们反思并完善自己的教师信念以符合现代教学需要。本个案研究基于特质理论和生态文化主义,建构主义以及人文主义,旨在解决以下两个研究问题:(1)新教师的教学行为是否与其教师信念一致?(2)新教师的教师信念中有哪些因素影响其教学行为?作者从广州市南沙区三所中学挑选了三名不同性别的新教师参与个案研究,分析其教师信念、观察其课堂教学行为,比较并分析各自的教师信念与教学行为的关系。研究共历时四个月,采用问卷、访谈、课堂观察等研究工具进行质性个案研究。所有调查数据和其他相关材料表明:研究对象的教师信念与其教学行为紧密相关并相互影响,符合当前外语教学发展的需求。但是,一些外部因素导致教师信念和教学行为之间不匹配。因此,作者建议新教师在自我反思、在职培训以及同事观察等方面加大投入,不断更新教师信念,改善教学行为,促进自己教师专业发展。
