《新目标》主题图的改编研究—从Nunan(2005)到人教社(2012)的变动

插图是英语课本的重要组成部分,而主题图是插图的组成部分,具有吸引学生注意力,帮助学生理解的功能。先前对插图的研究侧重主题图在整个单元中所起的作用,而对原版教材主题图改编的研究很少有人关注,至于改编过程中所做改动的真正原因几乎没有被讨论过。本文通过比较初中英语课本---人教社出版的《新目标》(2012)与其原版本---David Nunan(2005)的主题图,试图找出《新目标》(2012)主题图中存在的问题以及造成这些问题的原因,进而深入探讨教材改编的理据与原则。研究结果如下:(1)《新目标》(2012)对Nunan(2005)主题图的改编,很大程度上是一种本土化,即将图中所呈现的美国的(或西方的)生活方式转变为中国的生活方式。这一点可见于所涉人物的脸谱化及词汇的替换。(2)主题图的改编,也是对本族语人讲英语情境的疏离与泛化,这使得改编后的主题图创设情境失真,难以为英语的真实运用提供可靠的线索。(3)改编后的用词不再具体,存在过于概括的趋势。
