【摘要】：20世纪上半个时期的中国高等教育史,是一部波澜壮阔的文化教育交流碰撞史。各种教育流派不断涌现,各种教育思潮交相辉映,西学渗透,东学嬗变,理念更迭,制度变迁。在这样一个时代裹挟、颠沛动荡、纷扰交错的环境下,依然有很多执着、坚定的教育家,凭靠“独立之精神、自由之思想”、百年大计,教育为先的坚定信念。创办中国自己的大学,期望挽救人民于水火之中。在这样的背景下,中国高等教育迎来了一个大发展的历史性机遇。在社会各界的积极努力下,中国出现了一批现代意义的大学,而且不乏达到世界一流的大学。司徒雷登主持下的燕京大学就是其中之一。司徒雷登虽是外来传教士来华办教会大学,却因对大学教育有着独特的理念进而在短短时间内将燕京大学办的有声有色,为中国培养了很多优秀的人才。其大学理念也是我国高等教育思想的重要组成部分。本文结合当时社会背景以及教会大学发展的概况,试图对司徒雷登一流大学教育思想产生的思想基础、基本内涵、教育实践以及现代价值等分析,系统的阐述司徒雷登的一流大学教育思想。在中国古代教育思想、近代西方的自由民主思想、现代基督教教育思想以及中国当时社会背景的影响下,司徒雷登确立“因真理、得自由、以服务”的燕京大学校训,立足世俗化,树立培养国家领袖的人才培养目标、重点加强学生的“才,德,体,力”等素质,通过严格的招生,考评制度保障人才的质量。除此之外,在“办中国最有用的大学”、“保存中国最古老的文化”和“创新课程和专业设置”的思想引领下,建立和完善燕京大学的一流学科和课程建设;名师才能出高徒,在师资上,司徒雷登认为大学乃有大师之为也,通过广纳贤才,给予教师在精神和物质上的保障同时严格教师晋升制度保障教师的水准,培养和鼓励优秀学生出国留学,回来任教于母校;在确立国际化和“燕京大学一家”的学校发展思想后,司徒雷登通过国内外的经费筹集使燕京大学获得了充足的经费,并且为他人所知晓。在校园建设和学校管理上国际化,提升学生的国际化意识,同时通过在对外交流和学科研究的国际化使燕京大学的综合实力跻身世界一流,燕京大学的这些具体实践也丰富了司徒雷登的一流大学教育思想,使他的思想不仅具有了鲜明的时代性和国际性,也具有了更丰富的科学性与思想性,给后人留下了一笔宝贵的精神财富。
[Abstract]:The history of Chinese higher education in the first half of 20th century is a magnificent history of cultural and educational exchange and collision. In such an era of oppression, upheaval and confusion, there are still many persistent and determined educators, who rely on "the spirit of independence, the thought of freedom" and make a great plan for a hundred years. Education first firm belief. Set up China's own university, hoping to save the people in the water and fire. In this context. China's higher education has ushered in a historic opportunity for great development. With the active efforts of all walks of life, a number of universities of modern significance have emerged in China. And there are no shortage of world-class universities. Under the auspices of Leighton Stuart, Yanjing University is one of them. Leighton Stuart is a foreign missionary to run a church university in China. However, because of the unique concept of university education, Yenching University in a short period of time to do the sound. For China has trained a lot of outstanding talent, its university idea is also our country higher education thought important constituent. This article unifies at that time the social background and the church university development general situation. This paper attempts to analyze the ideological basis, basic connotation, educational practice and modern value of Leighton Stuart's first-rate university educational thought. Under the influence of Chinese ancient educational thought, modern western liberal democracy thought, modern Christian education thought and the social background of China at that time. Leighton Stuart established the motto of Yanjing University, which is "to be free because of truth, to serve", to base itself on secularization, to set up the goal of cultivating national leaders, and to focus on strengthening the students' qualities of "talent, virtue, physical ability, and strength." In addition, it is guided by the idea of "running the most useful universities in China", "preserving China's oldest culture" and "innovative curriculum and professional setup". To establish and perfect the first-class subjects and curriculum construction of Yanjing University; In terms of teachers, Leighton Stuart believes that universities are masters. By accepting talented people, they give teachers spiritual and material protection and strict teacher promotion system to ensure the standard of teachers. Train and encourage outstanding students to study abroad and return to teach at their alma mater; In the establishment of internationalization and the "Yenching University" school development ideas, Leighton Stuart through domestic and foreign funding to make the University of Yanjing sufficient funding.
