20世纪中后期美国女子学院的衰落研究

【摘要】：美国女子学院自19世纪三四十年代出现以来,在美国女子高等教育的舞台上扮演着重要的角色,为美国社会输送了一批批知识女性,做出了不可磨灭的贡献。经历了孕育、成长、繁盛、衰落、调整的五个阶段。20世纪中后期是美国社会急剧变化的时期,受联邦政策、女权运动、经济危机、合校教育机构等因素的影响,美国女子学院数量开始大幅缩减,生源紧张,目前全美女子学院数不到60所,并有继续减少的趋势。本论文从美国社会背景出发,通过美国女子学院在不同时期的表现,进一步探讨影响其兴衰的历史原因。对美国女子学院衰落前进行回顾,重点研究20世纪中后期女子学院衰落的表现、外部原因和内部原因。在外因分析上,本文试图从政治、经济、文化角度来解释。在内因分析上,本文主要从女子学院自身局限、合校机构等因素来探析。虽然从总体来看美国女子学院走向了衰落,但是现存的美国女子学院为了生存和发展开始探究特色发展之路,是值得关注的变化。中美女子学院虽然处于不同的政治、经济、文化背景之中,在很多方面存在着不少差异,但也存在着一定的可比性和借鉴性,通过美国女子学院历史进程、衰落的内外部原因、现今发展之路的研究,为我国女子院校的发展提供思考和借鉴。
[Abstract]:Since its emergence in the 1930s and 40s in 19th century, the American Women's College has played an important role on the stage of American women's higher education. It has delivered a number of intellectual women to the American society and made indelible contributions. The five stages of growth, prosperity, decline, and adjustment. The middle and late 20th century was a period of dramatic change in American society, influenced by federal policy, the feminist movement, the economic crisis, and co-educational institutions. The number of women's colleges in the United States has begun to shrink substantially, and the number of students is tight. At present, the number of women's colleges in the United States is less than 60, and there is a tendency to continue to decrease. This paper proceeds from the social background of the United States, through the performance of American women's colleges in different periods. This paper reviews the decline of American women's colleges, and focuses on the performance, external and internal causes of the decline of women's colleges in the middle and late period of 20th century. In the analysis of external causes, this paper attempts to analyze the causes of the decline of women's colleges in the middle and late period of 20th century. Economic and cultural explanations. In terms of internal causes, this paper mainly analyzes the limitations of women's colleges themselves, university-related institutions, and so on. Although overall, American women's colleges have gone into decline. However, in order to survive and develop, the existing American women's colleges have begun to explore the road of characteristic development, which is a change worthy of attention. Although the Chinese and American women's colleges are in different political, economic and cultural backgrounds, there are many differences in many aspects. But there is also some comparability and reference, through the historical process of American Women's College, the internal and external reasons of decline, and the study of the way of the present development, we can provide thinking and reference for the development of our country's women's colleges.
