多模态理论在大学英语教学中应用效果的实证研究

随着多媒体技术的发展和网络的广泛使用,大学英语教学已经具有了很强的多模态性。信息技术的飞速发展,改变了我们传统的交流方式,也影响并改变着语言教学方式和教育理念。传统教学模式已经不能适应时代的需求。本研究探讨了多模态教学理念在外语教学领域的应用。中国教育界也认识到多模态理论在教学中的重要意义。多模态理论在大学英语教学中的应用,帮助学生充分了解各种符号模态在交流中的意义潜势和局限以及各种符号之间的关系,了解各种符号在语言交流中所起的作用和使用情况,以迎接世界文化多元性和信息交流多样性的挑战。本研究应用多模态大学英语教学模式进行了对比试验研究,以提高受试学生英语水平。在历时18周的英语教学中,对两个班级分别采用不同教学方法:实验班以多模态教学模式为主和控制班以传统教学模式为主。实验结束后,通过测试和SPSS分析,实验班成绩明显高于控制班,证实了基于多模理论的多模态教学模式的有效性。同时通过问卷调查进行进一步的探讨。本研究虽然有一定局限性,但是对于未来多模态大学英语教学在理论探讨与与实际操作中具有一定参考价值。
