计算机辅助语言学习与教师角色

计算机已成为人们日常生活的一部分。计算机技术的普及改变了人们的生活和工作形态,计算机的应用深入教育的各个领域,尤其是语言教学方面。计算机辅助语言学习(英文缩写为CALL)作为一种现代化的教学技术,越来越受到人们的重视。由于CALL计算机不仅能呈现单纯的文字、数字等字符信息,而且还能输出动画、图像和声音,能非常容易做到教学信息的图、文、声并茂,利用计算机作为主要教学媒体来进行的语言教学活动,是一种新的教学形式。本文首先介绍了CALL的基本涵义,然后回顾了CALL的发展历史,讨论了当今社会普遍使用的CALL应用程序,分析了使用CALL的优劣之处。由于CALL是一个由“教师”、“学习者”、“电脑”等因素共同组成的综合体,这几个因素对CALL能否成功运用都有着重要的影响。从CALL的几十年来的发展来看,大部分的CALL软件都是以“学习者”的需要为中心开发出来的,CALL领域中已有的大部分论文重点都是“学习者”的角色需要或是讨论“学习者”和“计算机”关系,“教师”的角色作用往往被忽略了。其实,CALL虽然对英语教学具有一定的促进作用,但在教学实践中还存在诸多问题,更需要“教师”来驱动其学习过程,...
