[Abstract]:This article provides some historical data on the wages and living conditions of teachers and government civil servants in the 1920s and 1930s in China in 20th century. The salary of university teacher is relatively high. In May 1917 Beiyang government promulgates "national university staff appointment and salary law regulation" stipulation: national university teacher is divided into 4 classes, each grade 6, total 24 grades.
