“三文治故事教学法”在儿童英语教学中的应用

【摘要】：经济全球化的发展,使得各国人民之间的联系越来越紧密,作为国际通用语的英语也逐渐显示出其重要性。英语学习者的低龄化也已成为一种趋势。但大量枯燥的词汇和复杂的语法项目使学习者在学习的初级阶段就对英语学习失去了兴趣,尤其是处于低龄阶段的儿童。因此,传统的英语教学方式让人们提出质疑,它不能够适应儿童的心理特点及认知规律,那么如何激发学生学习英语的兴趣,提高英语语言能力已成为儿童英语教学中的首要问题,寻找适当的教学方法也是当下儿童英语教学最重要的任务。“三文治故事教学法”是以母语为基础,将目标信息穿插于其中,以故事的方式讲授给学生。基于这一点,本论文以故事教学法的相关理论为基础,旨在研究“三文治故事教学法”在儿童英语教学中的应用。具体说来,本论文试图解决以下问题:(1)“三文治故事教学法”是否能有效提高儿童学习英语的兴趣?(2)“三文治故事教学法”是否能有效提高儿童的英语语言能力?为了回答以上问题,该实验选取了山西省大同市实验小学的60名学生作为实验对象,分成两个平行班,即实验班与控制班,其中实验班使用“三文治故事教学法”,而控制班使用传统的英语教学法,两班采用相同的教科书,并配以问卷,访谈及课堂观察的方式,经过为期12周的教学实验后,利用SPSS软件对测试所得数据进行分析。最终得出结论:即与传统的教学方式相比较,用于儿童英语教学的实验班的“三文治故事教学法”不仅可以有效提高学生的英语语言能力,还可以激发学生的英语学习兴趣。通过实验,我们在一定程度上验证了“三文治故事教学法”在儿童英语教学中的可行性。由此可知,“三文治故事教学法”在儿童英语教学,及提高儿童英语教学质量方面具有重要意义。当然,由于时间,教学进度等原因,“三文治故事教学法”也存在其局限性。总之,我们会继续在小学低年段对“三文治故事教学法”做进一步调查和研究。
[Abstract]:With the development of economic globalization, people of all countries are more and more closely connected. English, as an international language, has gradually shown its importance. The younger age of English learners has also become a trend. However, a large number of boring vocabulary and complicated grammar items make learners lose interest in English learning at the initial stage of learning, especially for young children. Therefore, the traditional English teaching method makes people question that it can not adapt to the psychological characteristics and cognitive rules of children, so how to stimulate students' interest in learning English. Improving English language competence has become the most important problem in children's English teaching, and it is also the most important task for children to find appropriate teaching methods. The "Sandwich Story Teaching method" is based on the mother tongue, interspersed with the target information and taught to the students in the way of stories. Based on the theory of story teaching, this thesis aims to study the application of "sandwich story teaching method" in children's English teaching. Specifically, this thesis attempts to solve the following question: 1) can the "sandwich story teaching method" effectively increase children's interest in learning English? (2) "sandwich story teaching method" can effectively improve children's English language proficiency? In order to answer the above questions, 60 students of experimental primary school in Datong City of Shanxi Province were selected as experimental objects, and they were divided into two parallel classes, the experimental class and the control class. Among them, the experimental class used the "sandwich story teaching method". The control class uses the traditional English teaching method, and the two classes use the same textbook, with questionnaires, interviews and classroom observation. After 12 weeks of teaching experiments, the data obtained from the test are analyzed by using SPSS software. Finally, it is concluded that compared with the traditional teaching methods, the "sandwich story teaching method" used in the experimental class of children's English teaching can not only effectively improve the students' English language ability, but also stimulate the students' interest in English learning. Through experiments, to some extent, we verify the feasibility of "sandwich story teaching" in children's English teaching. Therefore, the "sandwich story teaching method" is of great significance in children's English teaching and improving the quality of children's English teaching. Of course, due to time, teaching progress and other reasons, "sandwich story teaching method" also has its limitations. In short, we will continue to do further research on the sandwich story teaching method in the early years of primary school.
