离子交换法制备Cu离子玻璃光波导的研究

【摘要】:采用离子交换技术制备的玻璃光波导器件具有制作成本低廉,传输损耗低,易于掺杂高浓度的稀土离子,与光纤折射率有较好的匹配,环境稳定性好,以及容易集成在系统中等方面的优点,非常适合于大批量、低成本集成光学器件的制作。传统的Ag+/Na+离子交换技术得到了人们最广泛的研究,使用这一技术制作的玻璃基光无源器件(如光功分器)已成功应用于光通信系统中。 Cu+/Na+离子交换玻璃波导具有蓝绿波段的发光特性(cu+)和良好的三阶非线性效应(Cu团簇),具备将有源与无源波导器件集成一体的潜力,被认为将会在光开关、光信息处理等领域具有良好的应用前景,近年来受到了人们的广泛关注。 本论文基于上述离子交换技术的优点,结合Cu+/Na+与Ag+/Na+离子交换的具体特点,其目标在于:通过区域掺杂实现玻璃基光波导器件的蓝绿发光功能集成,具体通过对玻璃基片上Cu+掺杂的Ag+/Na+离子交换光波导芯片的研究。本文创新性的工作主要集中在以下几个方面: 1.理论上,采用通过Cu+区域掺杂后的Ag+/Na+离子交换技术实现玻璃基器件的蓝绿发光功能集成的实验方案。从离子交换的原理及理论模型出发,并针对具体的工艺流程,对本文提出的实验方案进行了可行性分析。并且本文中采用的技术方案为玻璃基光波导器件实现功能集成提供了一条新的思路,对于其它功能的集成,譬如非线性特性、磁光特性等,都具有一定的借鉴意义。 2.实验上,通过器件设计及工艺的摸索,在硅酸盐玻璃材料上制备了具有蓝绿发光特性的Cu+掺杂区和Ag+条形光波导的复合蓝绿发光功能光波导。 3.采用多种测试手段对所制作的蓝绿发光功能光波导进行测量,如通光测试、发射光谱和电子探针显微分析,并对测试结果进行了分析讨论。
[Abstract]:The glass optical waveguide device fabricated by ion exchange technology has the advantages of low cost, low transmission loss, easy doping of high concentration rare earth ions, good matching with the refractive index of optical fiber, and good environmental stability. And the advantages of easy integration in the system, so it is very suitable for mass, low-cost integrated optical device fabrication. Traditional Ag / Na ion exchange technology has been the most widely studied. Glass based passive optical devices (such as optical power dividers) fabricated by this technique have been successfully applied in optical communication systems. The Cu / Na ion exchange glass waveguide has the luminescence characteristic of blue and green band and the good third order nonlinear effect Cu cluster, which has the potential to integrate the active and passive waveguide devices, and is considered to be in the optical switch. Optical information processing and other fields have a good application prospects, in recent years, people pay more and more attention to it. Based on the advantages of the above ion-exchange technology and the specific characteristics of Cu / Na and Ag / Na ion exchange, the purpose of this thesis is to achieve the blue-green luminescence integration of glass-based optical waveguide devices by region doping. Through the study of Cu-doped Ag / Na ion exchange waveguide chips on glass substrates, the innovative work in this paper is mainly focused on the following aspects:. 1. Theoretically, the blue and green luminescence function integration of glass based devices is realized by using Ag / Na ion exchange technology doped in Cu region. Based on the principle and theoretical model of ion exchange, and aiming at the specific technological process, The feasibility of the experimental scheme proposed in this paper is analyzed, and the technical scheme used in this paper provides a new idea for the realization of functional integration of glass based optical waveguide devices. Magneto-optic properties are of some significance for reference. 2. In experiments, the composite blue-green optical waveguides with blue-green luminescence characteristics in Cu doped region and Ag strip optical waveguides have been fabricated on silicate glass through device design and process exploration. 3. The blue-green light-emitting functional optical waveguides are measured by various testing methods, such as pass-light measurement, emission spectrum and electron probe microanalysis, and the results are analyzed and discussed.
