[Abstract]:Aversion is one of the basic emotions of human beings. It has the function of preventing disease infection and avoiding social ills. Understanding the emergence of aversion is very important to people's daily lives. Rozin et al.'s aversion assessment mechanism explains the process of aversion, emphasizing that aversion is an emotion that creates "polluting" ideas. Anthropologist Douglas proposed a culture of taboo, emphasizing people's judgment of filth and purity, and instinctive fear of being tainted by dirty things. Filthy things are polluting, disgusting and annoying. Douglas also sets forth the idea of dirty and classified systems. People's judgment of filth and purity is based on the classification system of religious society and the classification of individuals. Rozin and Douglas both emphasize that "pollution" is a necessary condition for aversion. Combined with the two points of view, will classification behavior or classification tendency have an impact on the assessment of aversion? The purpose of this study is to explore whether classification behavior and classification tendency have an impact on aversion assessment through three empirical studies. The first is exploratory related research to explore the correlation between aversion sensitivity and classification tendency, and prepare for the second and third research. The second study explores whether different classification tendencies (high classification tendency and low classification tendency) have an impact on aversion assessment. The third study explores whether classified behavior has an impact on aversion assessment. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) the sensitivity of aversion and the tendency to classify are related to each other to a great extent, indicating that the two are interrelated and influenced each other. (2) there were significant differences in the influence of different classification tendencies on aversion assessment. Specifically, the subjects with high classification tendency had higher aversion score, and those with low classification tendency had lower aversion score, there was significant difference between the two groups. (3) the influence of classification behavior on aversion assessment was significant.
