外交口译中的伦理规范研究

【摘要】：职业伦理在规范各领域从业者行为方面发挥着至关重要的作用,并且在涉及许多口译类型的文献中多有提及。然而,虽然双边外交通常事关一个国家的权利和利益,但这一领域的伦理问题在现有研究中却鲜有提及。探索双边外交中的职业伦理问题有助于研究者和口译从业人员了解外交场域的基本特征及其在译者做出与伦理相关的口译决策过程中所产生的影响。本文在主要口译职业伦理的基础上探讨在外交口译中译员应遵循的基本伦理准则。具体而言,本文在讨论主要口译职业口译伦理准则中的普遍原则及应用较为普遍的原则的基础上结合外交口译的基本特征构建了分析外交口译伦理准则的框架。本文从十部外交口译员回忆录和两本有关外交翻译的学术专著中提取了有关译者翻译活动的叙事话语,利用切斯特曼提出的期待规范和职业规范分析译者落实相关伦理准则的情况。理论探讨和案例分析发现,在外交场景中:(1)译者落实“保密”与“诚实”原则的情况对国家利益有着至关重要的影响;(2)译者的“忠实”伦理体现在其在目标语言中对讲者意愿、讲者身份和地位以及政府政治立场的再现;(3)由于译员通常为特定的政府机构服务,因此他们在实际口译中很难甚至不可能完全落实“中立”的原则,但译者必须要遵循基本的忠实准则,不得随意扭曲源语讲者的信息;(4)有关译者“能力”的准则体现在其语言能力、所掌握的百科知识以及文化意识等方面;(5)口译职业伦理中的部分普遍原则并不适用于中国的外交口译从业人员。
[Abstract]:Professional ethics plays a vital role in standardizing the behavior of practitioners in various fields, and is often mentioned in the literature involving many types of interpretation. However, although the bilateral common traffic Waiguan the rights and interests of a country, but ethical issues in this field are rarely mentioned in existing research. Exploring the professional ethics problems in bilateral diplomacy helps researchers and interpreters to understand the basic characteristics of diplomatic field and its influence on the translator's ethical decision making process. This paper, based on the professional ethics of interpretation, explores the basic ethical standards that the interpreters should follow in diplomatic interpretation. Specifically, based on the discussion of the universal principles and the widely applied principles of the ethical norms of major interpreting profession, this paper constructs a framework for analyzing the ethical norms of Diplomatic Interpretation combined with the basic characteristics of diplomatic interpretation. This paper extracts the narrative discourse on translator's translation activities from ten interpreters and two of the Ministry of foreign affairs memoirs on foreign translation of academic monographs, analyzes the translator to implement the relevant ethical principles proposed by Chesterman's expectancy norms and occupation standard conditions. Theoretical analysis and case analysis, in the diplomatic scene: (1) the translator to implement "secret" and "honesty" principle is of great importance to the national interests; (2) the translator's "faithfulness" reflected in its ethical intention, speaking in the target language speakers' identity and status and reproduction the government's political position; (3) the translators usually for specific government services, so they in the actual interpretation is difficult or even impossible to fully implement the "neutral" principle, but the translator must follow the basic principles of faithfulness, not to distort the source language speaker information; (4) the translator "ability the principle of" embodied in the language ability, have encyclopedic knowledge and cultural awareness; (5) interpreting occupation ethics in the universal principle does not apply to the Chinese diplomatic interpreting practitioners.
