【摘要】:近代以降,中日韩三国间文学关系愈发密切,日本明治时期的文学作品大量传入中韩两国,在两国掀起一股翻译·翻案热潮,其中政治小说作为一种较为特殊的小说类型,在翻译·翻案的过程中对中韩两国近代化以及对西方先进思想的接受产生了广泛而深远的影响。《经国美谈》作为日本近代政治小说的"三部曲"之一,先后传入中韩两国,在两国受到极大欢迎,其重要性自不待言。本文旨在从跨文化接受的角度切入,在现有研究成果的基础上,结合历史、政治语境,运用比较文学的接受研究等理论,探讨《经国美谈》在中韩两国的接受过程。《经国美谈》是日本明治时期著名政治家、小说家矢野龙溪的代表作,借用古希腊历史,意在宣扬恢复民权、振张国威的主题,给人们以政治性启示,大大激励了当时日本的有志青年。随后1900年与1904年《经国美谈》分别被译介至中韩两国,颇受两国读者欢迎。在中国,《经国美谈》首先在《清议报》连载,后出现了多个单行本,还产生了不少《经国美谈》的衍生作品,李伯元根据中译本改编成《前本经国美谈新戏》发表并演出,锋郎则发表了《题经国美谈前编十一首》,通过诗作表达对爱国志士的敬佩之情与保家卫国的决心。1904年《经国美谈》首先在韩国《汉城新报》连载,却只有5回,1908年才出版了由玄公廉翻译的《经国美谈》全本,却不幸在1914年被禁。中韩两国在接受《经国美谈》的过程中可谓是"同中有异、异中有同"。中韩译本与原作不同,更为强调的都是争取民族独立与驱逐侵略势力,且在独立之后的'守业'方面达成共识,'创业'难,守业更为不易,此为'同'。此处两者出发点虽然相同,但具体内容也是有较大差别的,中译本主干内容没有很大变化,甚至为了便于中国读者理解,在解释阿善都城的繁华之时增添了类似'扬子江'、'伦敦'等内容;玄公廉译本却选择将原作及中译本中涉及文化、文明、哲学等相关内容大部删除,更明显地集中于"正党"与"奸党"、"民主"与"独裁"这两组对立方面,主要描述齐武国如何取得独立、战胜强敌的过程。虽然玄公廉译本《经国美谈》将涉及文明、文化的部分大为省略,却在翻译的过程中将表现政治意识的内容全部保留下来,更为突出善与恶、正与邪的对立,甚至还增添了原著及中译本均没有的内容。如此强调此种对立以及各种政治观点的凸显,包括其他各种文明、文化相关内容的删除都是面临亡国之危机的玄公廉为强调爱国精神与民众教化而做出的选择。而中国保留这些部分却表明不仅是要民族独立,还蕴含着期待再次成为世界文明大国的愿望,此为'异'。《经国美谈》是传入中韩两国的政治小说中十分具有代表性的作品,深入研究《经国美谈》在中韩两国的接受过程,并进行系统考证分析,具有重要意义当时东亚三国近代化进程中文学作品担当着十分重要的角色,在东亚视域下对这些作品的探讨也是十分重要的课题,那些作品虽已成历史,却可为我们了解那一时代的东亚三国关系提供有价值的参考。
