【摘要】:本文是一篇英译汉翻译实践报告。翻译材料选自Lessons Learned from the Fukushima Accident for Improving Safety and Security of U.S.Nuclear Plants:Phase 2(译名:《福岛事故对美国核电站的安全启示:第二阶段)》第二章。原文作者为美国国家科学院成员。第二章为乏燃料贮存教训。众所周知,2011年3月,日本福岛核泄漏事故对当地生态环境造成了巨大破坏,引起了各国政府和该领域研究学者对此次事故发生原因的重视和反思。本报告由四个章节组成:第一部分为引言,主要陈述了此次翻译实践的背景、过程、目的,以及理论支撑。第二部分介绍了原文的作者和文本内容,分析、总结了原文的结构和语言特征。第三部分为整篇报告的核心。译者在这一部分详细阐述了翻译过程中的重点、难点,并借助相关翻译技巧深入分析了原文中部分经典句例的译法。第四部分为全文总结。译者结合自身翻译尝试,探讨了科技英语文本翻译的难点和解决方法,并得出启示和教训。原文属于科技类文本,文中大量出现与核能相关的专业术语,译文读者为中国大众。译者选择了纽马克的交际翻译理论作为理论基础,希望在忠实原文意思的基础上,尽量满足目的语读者的理解需求,最终实现通过学习美国从福岛事故中得出的教训来加强我们对核泄露危害的认识,普及核能基础知识。
[Abstract]:This is a translation practice report by English-to-Chinese. The translated materials are taken from Lessons Learned from the Fukushima Accident for Improving Safety and Security of U. S. Nuclear Plants:Phase 2. Member of the National Academy of Sciences. Chapter II is a lesson on spent fuel storage. The Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan has caused great damage to the local ecological environment, which has aroused the attention and reflection of governments and researchers in this field. This report is composed of four chapters: the first part is the introduction. The background, process, purpose and theoretical support of the translation practice are presented. The second part introduces the author of the original text and the content of the text. The structure and linguistic characteristics of the original text are summarized. The third part is the core of the whole report. In this part, the translator elaborates in detail the key points and difficulties in the process of translation. The translation methods of some classic sentences in the original text are analyzed with the help of relevant translation techniques. Part 4th is a summary of the full text. The translator, in combination with his own translation attempt, probes into the difficulties and solutions of translation of EST texts. The source text belongs to scientific and technological texts, and there are a lot of technical terms related to nuclear energy. The target readers are the Chinese public. The translator chooses Newmark's communicative translation theory as the theoretical basis. It is hoped that, on the basis of faithful original meaning, we will try our best to meet the understanding needs of the target language readers, and finally achieve the goal of strengthening our understanding of the dangers of nuclear leakage and popularizing the basic knowledge of nuclear energy by learning the lessons learned from the Fukushima accident in the United States.
