精力分配模式下口音与交替传译质量相关性的实证研究

【摘要】：英语虽然是世界通用语,但是标准英国英语和英语的区域性变体在口音方面存在着差异。英语区域性变体之间在口音方面也存在着差异。但是这种口音方面的差异是否会影响口译质量?口译人员如何应对口音方面的差异导致的口译质量的下降情况?本论文选取美国英语和巴基斯坦英语作为口译语料,利用实证研究的方法,试图研究口音与交替传译质量是否具有相关性且相关性有多大的问题。前人虽然有对不同语言间口音与交替传译质量进行过研究,但是迄今笔者还未见学者们对英语区域性变体之间在口音与交替传译质量相关性方面有过研究。从这个意义上讲,本论文具有一定的新意。本文是一篇以吉尔的精力分配模式为理论基础,旨在研究口音与交替传译质量相关性的实验报告。笔者采用实证研究的方法,从准确性、连贯性、信息完整性和流利度四个方面分析口音对口译质量的具体影响并在综合考虑译文质量、实验数据及调查问卷等因素的共同基础上得出实验结论并提出一些对应策略。实验结果表明:口音与交替传译质量之间存在正相关性,且相关性较高,但各部分的相关性不尽相同,如口音与术语翻译准确性的相关性极高;口音与表达连贯性的相关性较高;口音与表达流利度的相关性一般;口音与信息完整度的相关性高。本实验报告具有一定的启发意义,它可以有针对性的训练译员对不同口音的听辨分析与信息接收能力,从而提高译员的口译质量。由于口音与口译质量各参数的相关性各不相同,译员可以有针对性地采取相应的策略来提高口译质量。
[Abstract]:Although English is a universal language, However, there are differences in accents between standard British English and regional variations of English. However, does the difference in accents affect the quality of interpretation? How can interpreters cope with the deterioration in interpretation quality caused by differences in accents? In this thesis, American English and Pakistan English are selected as the interpreting materials, and the empirical study is used. This paper attempts to study whether or not the accent and the quality of consecutive interpretation are relevant and how relevant. Although previous scholars have studied accent and quality of consecutive interpretation among different languages, However, so far, no scholars have studied the correlation between accents and consecutive interpretation quality among regional variants of English. In this sense, This paper is based on Gill's energy distribution model and aims to study the correlation between accent and consecutive interpretation quality. This paper analyzes the specific impact of accent on the quality of interpretation from four aspects of information integrity and fluency, and considers the quality of translation comprehensively. On the basis of common factors, such as experimental data and questionnaire, the author draws the conclusion of the experiment and puts forward some corresponding strategies. The experimental results show that there is a positive correlation between accent and consecutive interpretation quality, and there is a high correlation between accent and consecutive interpretation quality. However, the correlation between accent and terminology translation accuracy is very high, the correlation between accent and expression coherence is high, the correlation between accent and expression fluency is general, the correlation between accent and terminology translation accuracy is very high, and the correlation between accent and expression coherence is relatively high. The correlation between accent and information integrity is high. This report has some enlightening significance, and it can be used to train interpreters in listening analysis and information receiving ability of different accents. Because the correlation between accent and interpretation quality parameters is different, interpreters can adopt corresponding strategies to improve interpretation quality.
