基于莱斯文本理论的西安旅游公示语英译研究

【摘要】:随着经济全球化的发展,中国正在走向世界,来中国旅游以及出访的外国友人越来越多。公示语被称为"城市名片",外国游客通过阅读公示语上的文字和观看图片来了解景区概况与文化,所以公示语英译的效果对提高我国国际形象,促进我国对外交往和经济合作具有十分重要的作用。众所周知,旅游业是西安的主要产业之一,每年有大量外国游客来西安旅游和学习。因此,西安市旅游景区的公示语英译状况和功能传递情况值得研究。莱思的文本类型理论根据文本功能,将文本分为信息型、表情型和操作型三种类型。不同的文本类型,对文本表现形式的要求不同,对文本翻译要求也不同。本研究基于莱斯的文本理论,首先按照信息型,表情型和操作型三大类,对西安市各个旅游景区的公示语进行语料收集和分类,共使用公示语语料117条。然后采用文献法和对比法进行了语言特点、翻译策略、功能实现和存在问题等方面的分析。研究发现:在现有的英译文本中,翻译"信息型"公示语时,"直译"与"拼音+直译"使用较多;"表情型"公示语英译时,"意译"和"直译"使用较多;"操作型"公示语的翻译中"直译"用的较多。景区中的英译公示语还存在影响公示语功能实现的一些问题,其主要是语言错误和文化错误。根据研究分析并结合莱斯文本理论,本研究也提出了一些公示语翻译建议:翻译景区"信息型"公示语时,译者可采取"借译"与"交际翻译"的方法;翻译景区"表情型"公示语时译者可采用"语义翻译"的方法;翻译景区"操作型"公示语时,译者可采用"借译"与"仿译"的方法。该研究对西安市旅游景区的公示语翻译与功能实现提供了一定的参考。
[Abstract]:With the development of economic globalization, China is moving towards the world. More and more foreign friends are visiting and visiting China. Public signs are called "city business cards". Foreign tourists learn about the general situation and culture of scenic spots by reading the words and watching pictures on the public signs. Therefore, the effect of translating public signs into English plays a very important role in improving our country's international image and promoting our foreign exchanges and economic cooperation. As we all know, tourism is one of the main industries in Xi'an. Every year, a large number of foreign tourists come to Xi'an to visit and study. Therefore, the translation and function transmission of public signs in Xi'an tourist attractions are worth studying. There are three types of expression type and operation type. Different text types require different forms of text expression and different requirements for text translation. This study is based on Rice's text theory, according to the information type, expression type and operation type at first. This paper collects and classifies the public signs in various scenic spots in Xi'an, and uses 117 public signs. Then, the paper uses the literature method and the contrast method to carry out the language characteristics and translation strategies. Analysis of functional implementation and existing problems. In translating "informational" public signs, "literal translation" and "Pinyin literal translation" are used more frequently; "free translation" and "literal translation" are used more frequently in English translation of "expression type" public signs; and "literal translation" is used more frequently in the translation of "operative-type" public signs. There are still some problems affecting the realization of the function of public signs in English translation of public signs in scenic spots. Based on the study and analysis of Les' text theory, this study also puts forward some suggestions for translating public signs: when translating "informational" public signs in scenic spots, The translator may adopt the method of "by means of translation" and "communicative translation"; the translator may adopt the method of "semantic translation" when translating public signs of "expression type" in scenic spots; Translators can use the methods of "borrowing translation" and "imitating translation", which provides a certain reference for the translation and functional realization of public signs in Xi'an tourist attractions.
