《2030年全球海洋技术趋势》中被动句的汉译实践报告

【摘要】：随着贸易全球化的发展,全球海洋技术日新月异,在未来几十年中将对全球商业海运、海军、海洋空间等产生深刻影响。世界各国对海洋权益的竞争不断加剧,寻求世界领先、高成本效益的海洋技术,进一步增强我国海洋实力,维护我国海洋权益成为当务之急。在这个过程中,国外最新海洋技术文献的汉译工作必不可少。英语科技文章中大量使用被动语态,这些被动态谓语动词又时常被复杂的句式和冗长的科技术语包围着,所以被动句的翻译存在一定难度,在一定程度上挫伤了国人学习国外先进技术的积极性。目前,国内对海事科技英语中被动句的汉译研究并不多,因而非常具有研究价值。笔者曾有机会参与了《2030年全球海洋技术趋势》(GlobalMarineehnology Trends2030)的部分翻译工作,文章为体现客观性和逻辑性,谓语动词大量使用被动语态,如果翻译时照搬原文结构,译文就会变得生涩难懂。此次翻译实践以GMTT 2030中的英语被动句为研究对象,结合文中被动句的结构特点,本人采用了个案分析的方法,选出一些具有代表性的翻译实例,从中归纳总结出一些实用翻译策略与方法,即英语被动句可根据语境翻译为汉语的显性被动句、半隐性被动句或隐性被动句,以及成分转译和翻译为汉语无主句等方法。本文从英语被动句的直译和意译两个角度统摄所有提到的翻译方法,通过撰写翻译实践报告,旨在总结翻译心得,认识自身不足,为今后翻译同类科技文本提供参考。
[Abstract]:With the development of the global trade globalization, the global marine technology is changing with each passing day, which will have a profound impact on the global commercial shipping, navy, ocean space and so on in the coming decades.The competition for marine rights and interests is becoming more and more serious all over the world, so it is urgent to seek the leading and cost-effective marine technology in the world, to further strengthen the marine strength of our country and to safeguard the marine rights and interests of our country.In this process, it is necessary to translate the latest marine technology documents into Chinese.Passive voice is widely used in English scientific articles. These verbs are often surrounded by complex sentence patterns and long technical terms, so it is difficult to translate passive sentences.To a certain extent, the Chinese people to learn foreign advanced technology enthusiasm.At present, there are few researches on the translation of passive sentences in maritime science and technology English in China.The author had the opportunity to take part in the translation of Global Marine Technology Trends 2030. In order to reflect objectivity and logicality, the predicate verbs used a lot of passive voice, if the original structure was copied in translation.The translation will become unintelligible.This translation practice takes the English passive sentence in GMTT 2030 as the object of study. Combining with the structural characteristics of the passive sentence in the text, I choose some representative translation examples by using the method of case study.Some practical translation strategies and methods are summarized, that is, English passive sentence can be translated into Chinese explicit passive sentence, semi-recessive passive sentence or implicit passive sentence according to context, and component translation and translation into Chinese without main sentence and so on.This paper, from the perspective of literal and free translation of English passive sentences, unifies all the mentioned translation methods. By writing a translation practice report, this paper aims to summarize the translation experience, understand its own shortcomings and provide a reference for the translation of similar scientific and technical texts in the future.
