【摘要】：本翻译项目选自《当呼吸变为空气》的第一章。本书作者为Paul Kalanithi,于2016年2月4日在北美出版。作者以自传的形式讲述了自己从医生到病人的心理转变过程。作者从不同的视角,解读了自己对待生命,对待死亡的态度,以其优美的文笔和真挚的情感向读者传递了自己对人性、生死、医疗的深沉思索。本书故事性极强,主题贴近现实生活,受众面广。本项目翻译选自本书第一章“起程时,我还身轻体健”,约一万五千字。本章节时间线索十分明晰,条理清楚。作者用词朴实,精炼,常常使用抽象名词和名词性结构来营造意境。同时本文大量使用长难句,给翻译造成一定困难。笔者从词汇和长句两个角度分析了翻译策略的具体运用。在词汇方面,译者采用的翻译策略有改变词性,根据语境确定词义,词汇解释。在长难句方面采用的翻译方法有句式重构以及变词为句。此次翻译不仅提升了译者的翻译能力,通过写翻译报告还使译者对翻译有了进一步感悟,受益良多。得出结论如下:一、译者要有扎实的双语功底和一定的语言分析能力。二、对于自传类的文学作品,译者在翻译过程中不仅要准确地传达原文作者的意思,还不能破坏原文的美感。三、译者应该注意译文的校对工作。
[Abstract]:This item is selected from Chapter 1 of when breath becomes Air. The book by Paul Kalanithiis was published in North America on February 4, 2016. In the form of autobiography, the author describes the process of psychological transformation from doctor to patient. From different perspectives, the author interprets his attitude towards life and death, and conveys his deep thoughts on human nature, life and death and medical treatment to the reader with his beautiful writing and sincere emotion. The story of this book is extremely strong, the theme is close to real life, by a wide range of people. From the first chapter of this book, I am still in good health, about 15000 words. This chapter time clue is very clear, the organization is clear. The author often uses abstract nouns and nominal structures to create artistic conception. At the same time, this paper uses a lot of long difficult sentences, which makes translation difficult. The author analyzes the application of translation strategies from the perspective of vocabulary and long sentences. In terms of vocabulary, translators adopt translation strategies such as changing part of speech, determining word meaning and lexical interpretation according to context. The translation methods used in long difficult sentences include sentence pattern reconstruction and changing words into sentences. This translation not only improves the translator's translation ability, but also helps the translator to have a better understanding of translation by writing translation reports. The conclusions are as follows: first, the translator should have a solid bilingual knowledge and a certain language analysis ability. Second, for autobiographical works, translators should not only convey the meaning of the original author accurately, but also fail to undermine the aesthetic sense of the original text. Third, the translator should pay attention to the proofreading of the translation.
