释意理论意义单位下即兴发言的中英同传翻译策略

【摘要】：即兴演讲是中外交流场合中常见的交际方式,广泛应用于各类国际会议、辩论、访谈或圆桌讨论。在即兴演讲的中英同传中,翻译策略是否得当直接关系到译文的整体质量。翻译单位选择作为同传的重要策略之一,长期以来一直是诸多翻译理论关注和探讨的课题。其中,释意派理论提出,译员在口译过程中,应摆脱语言外壳,以意义单位作为翻译单位。释意派理论源于口译实践与教学,具有极强的可操作性和指导意义。因此,笔者以释意理论为框架,探索释意理论意义单位关照下,翻译单位选择对即兴演讲中英同传质量的影响。笔者选取4名学生译员和4名职业译员进行实验,8名被试就同一篇即兴发言完成中英同传。口译结束后,被试填写调查问卷并接受现场访谈。笔者对8名译员的译文进行转录后,根据杜蕴德的同传质量评估标准对译文质量进行评估。通过对比两组译员的译文质量,并结合定性、定量及问卷分析,可以得出以下结论:在即兴发言中英同传过程中,职业译员更倾向于脱离字词束缚,以意义单位作为翻译单位,且当译员使用意义单位作为翻译单位时,译文质量更高。
[Abstract]:Improvisation speech is a common communication method in Chinese and foreign communication. It is widely used in various international conferences, debates, interviews or round table discussions. Whether the translation strategy is appropriate or not is directly related to the overall quality of the translation. The choice of translation units as one of the important strategies of simultaneous interpretation has long been the focus of many translation theories. The interpretive theory suggests that interpreters should get rid of the language shell and take the unit of meaning as the translation unit in the process of interpretation. The theory of interpretive school originates from interpreting practice and teaching, and has strong maneuverability and guiding significance. Therefore, based on the theory of interpretation, the author explores the influence of the choice of translation units on the quality of simultaneous interpretation in impromptu speeches. Four student interpreters and four professional interpreters were selected for the experiment. Eight participants completed simultaneous interpretation of the same impromptu speech. After interpretation, the subjects filled out the questionnaire and were interviewed on the spot. After transcribing the translations of 8 interpreters, the author evaluated the translation quality according to du Yunde's standard of simultaneous interpretation quality evaluation. By comparing the translation quality of the two groups and combining qualitative, quantitative and questionnaire analysis, we can draw the following conclusions: in the process of simultaneous interpretation of impromptu speech, professional interpreters are more inclined to break away from word constraints and take the unit of meaning as the translation unit. And when the interpreter uses the meaning unit as the translation unit, the translation quality is higher.
