英语专业综合英语教材中的词块比较研究

  词块是在特定的语体中频繁复现的多词组合。作为多词表达和形式功能的复合体,词块具有多种语篇和语用功能,对提高语言处理的效率和语言输出的流畅性有重要作用。通过接触情境化语言,尤其是通过阅读,英语学习者可以习得大多数词块。教材含有丰富的情境化阅读文本,是语言输入的重要来源。因此,对教材中的词块特色进行研究具有重要意义。本研究以《当代大学英语:精读》(CCEIR)和《综合教程》(AIEC)中的阅读课文为研究对象,探讨英语专业综合英语教材中词块的特点。作为基本的语言结构,四词词块因其出现频率、多样化的结构和功能被认为是词块的典型代表。本研究旨回答以下问题:(1)两套教材中四词词块的总体分布是什么?(2)两套教材在四词词块的结构和功能上有何异同?(3)两套教材在四词词块结构和功能的联系上有何异同?为回答上述问题,本研究采用语料库驱动的方法。笔者建立两个语料库,利用AntConc 3.5.8抽取符合条件的四词词块,采用广泛认可的词块结构和功能框架对两套教材中词块的总体分布、结构、功能以及结构和功能的关系进行探究。对两套英语专业综合英语教材中词块的分析有如下发现:(1)总体而言,教材中的词块并未涵盖结...
