《爱尔兰革命,1879-1923》(第五章,第八章)英译汉实践报告

  中国国际地位不断提高,中外交流不断深入。大量国外历史文献译介到国内。在众多翻译成中文的历史文献中,涉及爱尔兰革命的译著较少。在中国图书网和其它网上书店中尚未找到专门介绍爱尔兰革命的译著。2018年8月,本报告作者受西安巴顿万伊传媒有限公司委托,翻译《爱尔兰1879-1923》。该书由北爱尔兰历史学家大卫·乔治·博伊斯编纂,英国伦敦麦克米伦教育出版集团于1988年出版。委托方表示,目前该书尚无中译本发行。该书的翻译颇具实践意义。本报告描述并分析了《爱尔兰革命1879-1923》第五章和第八章的英汉翻译实践过程,并对本次翻译实践做了反思和总结。本报告由引言、任务描述、翻译过程描述、案例分析和总结五部分组成。本报告第一章分析了本次翻译实践的意义,介绍了本报告的框架结构。第二章描述了本次翻译任务的相关内容及委托方的要求,分析了源文遣词造句的特点。第三章介绍了翻译实践中背景知识的准备情况,以及翻译工具和平行文本的选择,确定彼得·纽马克的文本类型理论为本次翻译实践的指导理论。根据彼得·纽马克的文本类型理论,本次翻译实践的源文为信息性文本,所以采用交际翻译法来解决翻译过程中出现的问题。第三章还呈现了...
