《骑斯汀雷的午后：回忆录》文化元素的汉译实践报告

在全球化影响下,国内外传记文学交流进一步加深。回忆录是一种叙事性文体,属于传记文本。它是作者亲身经历的往事,兼具纪实性和文学性,人们称之为“岁月的录像”。本次翻译实践材料节选自美国体育新闻记者史蒂夫·鲁辛的《骑斯汀雷的午后:回忆录》的第五章,约10000字。该书出版于2017年7月,文本较新,至今尚无汉译本。该回忆录主要讲述的是作者3-13岁童年时代在美国明尼苏达州的布鲁明顿成长的生活画卷。作者用大量笔墨描写20世纪70年代的流行文化,反映了当时的技术变革,文化变革,以及父母、兄弟姐妹之间的爱,具有浓厚的怀旧色彩,这对于跨文化交际具有重要的研究价值和参考价值。文中出现了大量具有源语国家特色的文化元素,是进行翻译实践的主要难点。为此,笔者在进行翻译实践之前,参考了大量的传记文本汉译的平行文本,阅读了相关的书籍和论文,熟悉传记文本的语言特点。考虑到原文“引进来”的翻译目的,笔者选用目的论作为理论指导,结合目的论的三原则确定翻译策略,可以有效减少文化的差异对传记文本翻译的影响。笔者在目的论的指导下,在处理中英共有但内涵不同的文化元素时采取了直译加注和意译的方法;在处理英语独有的文化元素时采取...
