交际翻译理论视角下《祖庭重光》英译实践报告

《祖庭重光》是一本由宜春市佛教协会编印的关于宜春禅宗祖庭重建的纪实性画册。宜春历史文化积淀厚重,佛教文化源远流长。宜春禅宗祖庭林立,法门龙象辈出,市佛教协会妙安会长提议以《祖庭重光》来集中反映2004-2014年宜春在历史上产生过重大影响的禅宗祖庭和寺院中兴重建历程。《祖庭重光》是一本涉及宗教的通俗类纪实性画册,该画册以通俗易懂的语言介绍了宜春禅宗文化的发展历程,展现了宜春禅宗“人间佛教”思想和“生活禅”的现代化发展,以宜春佛教文化为依托,结合佛教建筑文化、佛教艺术文化、佛教氛围和佛事活动,展现秀丽风光与文物古迹的同时,更体现除了博大精深的中国文化。本实践项目选取该文本进行英译,不仅有助于宜春市佛教旅游文化的对外宣传,而且能够帮助目的语读者初步的对中国禅宗文化有初步的了解和认识,对此产生兴趣的同时欣赏到中国佛教文化的精髓及其艺术魅力,了解生活禅,体验生活禅,将禅的智慧与精神融入生活。本文通过在翻译过程中遇到的问题,以纽马克交际翻译理论为指导,以目的语读者为中心,力求保留原文功能,解决在翻译禅宗词汇,句法和文化负载词中遇到的难点问题,通过灵活的运用增译、减译、加注法、直译与意译结合法等,...
