中日专利翻译项目的实践报告

【摘要】：专利翻译说明书记载着专利发明和专利技术,具有法律性和技术性的双重特性。受企业大力推广专利技术的影响,每年都有大量的中国专利技术向海外递交专利申请,专利翻译的需求随之增加,而高水平翻译人才的缺乏导致了译文的品质不高。专利翻译者需要具有较高的阅读理解能力、技术理解力、法律知识和语言能力,缺少了以上的任何一条都不能很好的完成专利翻译。特别是,翻译理论的指导对专利翻译的发展起着不可替代的作用。因此,为了使专利翻译活动能够顺利开展,有必要将翻译理论应用到实践当中。本文基于纽马克交际翻译理论的中心思想—“意在让译文读者获取尽可能接近原文读者的效果”,尝试着将交际翻译理论应用到中译日的专利翻译当中。结合笔者的实践经历,从单词、句法、语篇这三个层面总结概括了容易出现误译的情况。在案例分析部分,首先给出专利翻译的初始译文,然后运用交际翻译理论的相关内容进行阐释分析,最后在交际翻译理论的指导下给出修正译文。之后从上述的三个层面,对相关翻译技巧作出概括。在翻译单词时,首先要正确理解原文,采用日文专利说明书中的规范表达用语进行译作。对于专业技术用语,要通过查询专利技术支持系统、专利网站等手段进行确认,以保证用词的准确与规范。在翻译语句时,遇到表意不明的句子,根据交际翻译理论,对句子进行适当的补充说明;当专利发明对象为物品时,句式多采用被动句;当专利发明对象为方法时,句式多采用主动句。在翻译语篇时,既要把握文体内部的关联性,正确表达文意;又要注重文章的逻辑性,在交际翻译强调以读者理解为第一位的思想指导下,活用标点断句,使译文的表达更加清晰明了。
[Abstract]:Patent translation instructions record patent inventions and patent technologies, which have the dual characteristics of law and technology. Under the influence of enterprises' efforts to promote patent technology, a large number of Chinese patent technologies file patent applications overseas every year. The demand for patent translation increases, and the lack of high-level translators leads to a low quality of translation. Patent translators need to have higher reading comprehension, technical understanding, legal knowledge and language competence. In particular, the guidance of translation theory plays an irreplaceable role in the development of patent translation. It is necessary to apply translation theory to practice. Based on the central idea of Newmark's communicative translation theory, this paper attempts to apply communicative translation theory to the target readers. In the patent translation of Chinese translation of Japan. Combined with the author's practical experience, In the case analysis part, the initial translation of patent translation is first given, and then the relevant content of communicative translation theory is used to explain and analyze it. Finally, a modified translation is given under the guidance of communicative translation theory. Then, the relevant translation techniques are summarized from the above three levels. When translating words, we must first correctly understand the original text. Use the standard expressions in the Japanese patent specification to translate the technical terms. For professional technical terms, we must check the patent technical support system, patent website and other means to ensure the accuracy and standardization of the words. According to the communicative translation theory, the sentence should be supplemented with appropriate explanation; when the object of patent invention is the object, the sentence pattern is mostly passive sentence; when the patented invention object is the method, When translating a text, we should not only grasp the internal relevance of the style and express the meaning correctly, but also pay attention to the logic of the article, under the guidance of the thought that the reader's understanding is the first priority in the communicative translation, the punctuation should be used flexibly. Make the expression of the translation clearer.
